-
is it just a clutch kit that i need to buy or a couple of extra things? also would it be worth me buying a k50 gearbox to replace my current k40?
-

my gearbox has started to make a click, that i can feel when i hold the gear stick, in all gears. the clutch initiates almost as soon as you touch the pedal so i doubt this need changing. I'm thinking about going out and buying a 5-speed (k50) so that i can go on the freeway without having to listen to my engine whining ive already started to work on my 4k, getting exhaust in few days and weber is on the way is there a gearbox with a better ratio for a worked 4k?

hey i was just wondering do you mean when you turn the key to "start" it makes a click but doesnt turn over or can you actually hear the starter motor starting to turn. it you only hear a click then it is the solenoid, ive got to replace my solenoid on my starter, its an easy job to do.

ok here is what is happening, when i stop at lights in any gear apart from 1st its lil fight to get it into first and sometimes any gear. but... if i am moving the gears are as smooth as anything. is it my syncro gears or is the whole thing f***ed? also would it be better to buy t50 or k50 as replacement if needed?

umm I'm tossing up whether to go with a 4a-c or just go all out with a 4age while the engine is out I'm gonna paint it either blood red, escort orange or black w/racing stripes :) lowering it, adjustable shocks, new radiator. pretty much gonna go all out in the next 2 years

hey all, i bought this corolla 2 months ago, :( the story is that an old lady owned it up until 4 months ago when a student bought it while his 4WD was getting fixed, it's done genuine 102000 k's and i payed 1200 for it and spent 150 on bog and other assorted items to make it look "road worthy" for the cops. :bash: i think it is worth the $1350 whats your opinion??: :hmm: got some tar remover for behind the front wheels front view only 2 mini dents on bonnet rear wheel arch bogged and painted, these my new rims i got off another ke70 Neat rear end w/no dings :)
-
Here are some pictures of my "84 ke70 i got it for 1200 with genuine 102000 kms on it my RH mirror chunky (I'm getting same rims as rear on front this week) Immaculate interior :) LH mirror small and door mounted can sort of see mirror differences here

I am buying a wagon with my mate and we are gonna chop it up and make it into a ute, were making a track car we can take to the local skid pan i'll put pics up when i do it. probs wont be for a bit though
-
my RH mirror is the big chunky stock one and the LH one is one of the smaller "option" ones that are bolted into the door panel if you pay toyota extra 5 bucks when you buy car. my dad used to own a ke70 wagon and said his were the exact same and i was just looking for some cheapies to get it looking decent. i'll add some pics of my car to here tomorrow when its light

buy a metal wire drill bit, 80grit sand paper and 240grit sand paper, rust converter and a kilo of bog. if its something like a mud guard get rid of all the rusted metal then get the drill in there and wire brush it until its as clean looking as possible then apply a decent amount of rust converter and let it soak in for about an hour. finally you can just mix up the bog and apply enough to get fully into the hole you just made and have a little excess coming out so you can sand it back to perfect. get it smoothish with the 80 grit then smooth it off with the 240 grit. you may want to buy some paint to cover it up as well but make sure you get the exact colour because it looks shit if its not. i did this all over my ke70 and it looks freaking great and only takes a day
