  1. Sorry to hear this man, I know alot of cars that have suffered this treatment... Get the f@$kers, they are c**ts. These people belong six foot under. Dan.
  2. I like these ideas... I would love to see a alloy V8 rolla... :y:
  3. Drift is cool. Most drifters are uncool. I've noticed in alot of the other sports that are mentioned in the poll that members will welcome you and help you in whatever way that they can... I think that is pretty good. From what I've heard, drift is completely opposite to this. That said, I enjoy drifting. Perhaps not to the level that most drifters go to, but I love just flogging a car around a paddock or car park sideways... certain thrill that goes with it (especially when theres a car right ahead of you, which you are almost certain to hit...)
  4. Don't get me wrong... I like the idea of a strip/burnout machine as well... there are also some good aftermarket parts for the Ecotec's, actually, Street Commodores did a build up of a VN with one of these, and were running 13's NA! I think in the end, forced, it did a 11 or 12..? I'll look back into the magazines and get that number for sure.
  5. That was discussed before :y: no it will run fine on regular unleaded. I really don't want to know what you and Nick did together, Stephen.... just get a room
  6. No mention of speedway  lol, I think we're all good blokes :y:
  7. Yeah, I am pretty sure that when I first saw this (about a year ago) people were saying that they were made in Taiwan, and also that some companies made pretty poor fitting copies. Thanks for the help coln72. Have a good one, Dan.
  8. Happy Birfday man, have a drink for me :)...
  9. Haha, does say something about it, doesn't it. Lol, good point, i should of made an option of just 'hoon' haha, suppose traffic light races and Maccas tray burnouts would count under that... But of course, none of the Rollaclub community are hoons, are we :)
  10. I was inspired to create this thread after reading KE-3.8L's comment about Rollaclub being a drift orientated forum... I made the comment that only a minority of us were actually involved in drift, and another member said that alot of us were involved in rally/motorkhana. Hence this poll. Please vote for what aspects of motorsport you are involved in, will help me compile what the majority of Rollaclub is actually about :), and please don't turn this thread into a bullshit thread like. Have a nice day. Dan. EDIT: Yes, there is a flaw in the poll. You cannot vote more than once... so please just vote what the main area of your motorsport diet is :). Thanks.
  11. Not neccesarily, that would mean I could fit a WWII 12L Merlin engine in my KE55, and then own everyone at the racetrack, it'd be fully sick uleh!!!1! Haha, no. Actually, only a minority of us are actually involved in drift. Commo motor, ay? Don't like your chances of getting it licenced (nil), so I guess it will be a dedicated drag 'weapon' :)? I am actually quite interested in this buildup, really want to see how this all works and how well it actually performs. One of the members has actually seen a 3.8L KE55... I think. Don't quote me on it. Anyway, apart from all this, Welcome to Rollaclub. Enjoy your stay :). EDIT: Well, in the time during me eating dinner etc. Tiger posted about the 3.8L KE55. So there you go. Dan.
  12. I wasn't looking for an argument buddy, hence the reason I said that it was my decision that I would, however others may be different. Lets stop arguing in his thread anyway. Dan.
  13. Woohoo, argument. Joking. Look, I would drive it to the shop and back with plates that aren't designated for that car, however, thats just me; its your decision. In reality you should really get a car trailer though. Will someone give this f@$ker a car trailer... please? EDIT: Jip_01 said it in his post Lay low... but maybe this isn't possible for you, intercooler boy :)
  14. Shhh :)... haha
  15. I know that I have jellybeans that suit a KE30/55 on my KE20 that I'm wrecking atm, so I'm pretty sure any RWD Corolla rims will fit on your car. Someone else would be able to back me up in this... anyone? G'day StephenD!
  16. You wouldn't happen to remember where you got these panels from would you? I'm interested, as pretty much all corolla front quarters are rusted out these days, and a rust section from Rare Spares is worth 30-40 odd bucks... (one or the other, I've now forgot). Dan.
  17. ^ Yeah, what he said :)
  18. In WA I know we can get permits for driving a car to and from a place of service/work/whatnot, they are 1 day licences for $16.50... I presume that perhaps you may be able to get a similar service in Brisbane? If not, good luck with the trailer mate.
  19. Way to bring up an ancient post Tiger :) KE50 Rally Car? Gotta see pics of that :)
  20. I'm after a perfectly good one of those... but I think I might save me the hassle and not run a strip at all, I think that perhaps would look ok.
  21. Haha yeah, but my bicycle does good burnouts in mud also.... :) Manual :)
  22. I thought it was a KE70 Wagon, but I am most probably wrong. Could someone please post up a photo of a Carina, I have heard of these cars but never seen one before (or realised I've seen one). EDIT: I predicted the 'google it' responses, so I made the hard clicks and keystrokes to do it :). Late model Carina done up seemingly ricer style Presume this would be a mid-life Carina However, this one wasn't identified by its image name but it came up when i googled Toyota Carina, and I'll tell you, if this is a Carina, I am in love :) Am I right in these pictures?
  23. Pfft... pretty sad you've made how many get locked? Hahaha.
  24. Haha wish I had speakers full stop, they weren't mine :) they were 36VAN's :)
  25. Yeah, just noticed that the next thread would be the 1000th thread, so decided to make sure everyone knew about it :). Dan.
