Again not much has changed except the Engine capacity and related measurements. I THINK this is a 4K Engine Engine Displacement (cc): 1290 Firing Order: 1342 Spark Plugs Type: Denso W16EP Gap (mm): .80 Compression Pressure (psi): 127-156 Distributor Make: Denso DWELL: 52±2 Point Gap (mm): .40-.50 Ignition Timing Initial/Static: 8@Idle C/S Fuel System Make/Type: Aisan Float Level (mm): 6.5 Idle Speed (rpm): 750±50 Emission CO%: 0.3-2.0 Fuel Pump Pressure (psi): 2.8-4.3 Fuel Capacity (cc/min@rpm): 900@5800 Oil Pressure (psi): >45@3000 Valve Clearances Inlet Hot/Cold (mm): .20 Exhaust Hot/Cold (mm): .30 Torque Specification Cylinder Head (ft.lbs): 39-47 Main Bearings (ft.lbs): 47-49 Con Rods (ft.lbs): 29-37 Alternator/Generator Make/Type: Bosch Output Amps: 40 Output Voltage: 14 Regulator Settings (V): 13.8-14.8 RPM: 1000 Starter Motor Make/Type: Bosch Cranking Current Draw: 55 Locked Current Draw: <500 Cranking Voltage: 11 Wheel Alignment *Settings Unladen* Castor: 1°50'±20'30" Camber: 0°45'±30'30" Toe-In (mm): 1±1

I'm really not sure what model this is...seems to be only a limited run of them. The only difference I can find is some emissions changes and a compression drop. This is most likely the 3K-C Engine Engine Displacement (cc): 1166 Firing Order: 1342 Spark Plugs Type: Denso W16EP Gap (mm): .80 Compression Pressure (psi): 149 Distributor Make: Denso DWELL: 52±2 Point Gap (mm): .40-.50 Ignition Timing Initial/Static: 8@Idle C/S Fuel System Make/Type: Aisan Float Level (mm): 6.5 Idle Speed (rpm): 750±50 Emission CO%: 0.3-2.0 Fuel Pump Pressure (psi): 2.8-4.3 Fuel Capacity (cc/min@rpm): 900@5800 Oil Pressure (psi): >45@3000 Valve Clearances Inlet Hot/Cold (mm): .20 Exhaust Hot/Cold (mm): .30 Torque Specification Cylinder Head (ft.lbs): 39-47 Main Bearings (ft.lbs): 48 Con Rods (ft.lbs): 38 Alternator/Generator Make/Type: Bosch Output Amps: 40 Output Voltage: 14 Regulator Settings (V): 13.8-14.8 RPM: 1000 Starter Motor Make/Type: Bosch Cranking Current Draw: 55 Locked Current Draw: <500 Cranking Voltage: 11 Wheel Alignment *Settings Unladen* Castor: 1°50'±20'30" Camber: 0°45'±30'30" Toe-In (mm): 1±1

Although this specifies 1974-76 I am pretty sure that it would Include late KE20. Engine Engine Displacement (cc): 1166 Firing Order: 1342 Spark Plugs Type: Denso W16EP Gap (mm): .80 Compression Pressure (psi): 156 Distributor Make: Denso DWELL: 52±2 Point Gap (mm): .40-.50 Ignition Timing Initial/Static: 8@Idle C/S Fuel System Make/Type: Aisan Float Level (mm): 6.5 Idle Speed (rpm): 750-850 Emission CO%: 3.0 Fuel Pump Pressure (psi): 2.8-4.3 Fuel Capacity (cc/min@rpm): 900@5800 Oil Pressure (psi): >45@3000 Valve Clearances Inlet Hot/Cold (mm): .20 Exhaust Hot/Cold (mm): .30 Torque Specification Cylinder Head (ft.lbs): 39-47 Main Bearings (ft.lbs): 48 Con Rods (ft.lbs): 38 Alternator/Generator Make/Type: Bosch Output Amps: 40 Output Voltage: 14 Regulator Settings (V): 13.8-14.8 RPM: 1000 Starter Motor Make/Type: Bosch Cranking Current Draw: 55 Locked Current Draw: <500 Cranking Voltage: 11 Wheel Alignment *Settings Unladen* Castor: 1°50'±20'30" Camber: 0°45'±30'30" Toe-In (mm): 1±1

OK guys I have this shop manual here with a crapload of settings. So over the next few days/weeks I'll be typing out all this info for each particular model. I figure I wont bother with auto transmission settings as they suck and should burn in hell. If theres any car 1970-1990 (early 1990) that you would like the settings for (bar all the corollas because I'm putting them up anyway) please PM me and I'll add it to my list! I'll also have a separate topic for each car for easy searching and finding. Once Ive posted the settings I'll lock the thread to keep it tidy Engine Engine Displacement (cc): Firing Order: Spark Plugs Type: Gap (mm): Compression Pressure (psi): Distributor Make: DWELL: Point Gap (mm): Ignition Timing Initial/Static: Fuel System Make/Type: Float Level (mm): Idle Speed (rpm): Emission CO%: Fuel Pump Pressure (psi): Fuel Capacity (cc/min@rpm): Oil Pressure (psi): Valve Clearances Inlet Hot/Cold (mm): Exhaust Hot/Cold (mm): Torque Specification Cylinder Head (ft.lbs): Main Bearings (ft.lbs): Con Rods (ft.lbs): Alternator/Generator Make/Type: Output Amps: Output Voltage: Regulator Settings (V): RPM: Starter Motor Make/Type: Cranking Current Draw: Locked Current Draw: Cranking Voltage: Wheel Alignment *Settings Unladen* Castor: Camber: Toe-In (mm):

I would love to get along to this...however I think my car isnt quite up to the standard of cars going along :ninja: maybe If I get these rims off Rob ASAP

I was poking around some links tonight and found this little beast http://www.users.tpg.com.au/deonrb/corolla.htm Some pretty impressive power output with 96hp @ rear wheels and a dyno sheet to prove it!

I know cam shafts alone are around $110. How much would both the head and cam cost together?! Including a 60thou shave of course :ninja:
-
Hey guys I'm thinking of getting my cam reground seen as I have rego out of the way. Who in Brisbane regrinds cams? What duration and lift do you suggest? I'm looking for something that will give me some grunt but isnt such a bitch that I can't drive it on the streets. Mind you a big lopey idle at the lights with a nice exhaust is awesome :ninja:

irokin aka "Ben" White KE20 with a few odds and ends

Yes It would work...but you would need a fairly powerful electric motor and a fairly hefty altenator to power it. Unless your planning on charging a boot full of batterys and running it in bursts so the altenator doesnt have to provide all the power all the time. It could charge the batterys slowly and then the compressor setup drains them. I imagine this would be rather expensive.... Cut your losses and just put the aircon straight on the fan belt. By converting it to electrical you'll be loosing power. To transfer the power you have to convert it to electrical, regulate it, convert it back to kinetic and then power it. The other way you have kinetic then to power it...less power loss. probably something others can add to on this Cheers, Ben

Trolly jack? If so...its a god send Since I got one I will Never again use a bottle jack or the old A frame crap unless the trolly is already being used

Is it this one?

We've been nothing but happy with our commodore after 10 years we towed a car on a trailer with it for the first time. Picture this, Commodore, 15x6ft (load aread) car trailer, KE30 corolla, M1, 110kmph, 3 passengers enjoying airconditioning. (Its a V6 btw) Thrown two harmonic balancers in the past few years (I think it either needs a good balance or mum needs to ease her foot up off the floor) and the transmissions just starting to go because we tow stuff all the time. That and the cars done 300,000km on the original running gear.
