  1. yeah the rear one is solid mounted. carter pumps, solid or rubber mounted are whisper quiet in comparison
  2. Hey Matt, just found this thread. great to see your progress, and also stoked you didnt have to sell it on :laff: worth a shot... I had to get my mate to wack the starter last time i turned it over. Also Taz, imagine the noise when there was facet pumps in the rear and in the engine bay... it shit me to tears
  3. cool, cheers Taz_Rx, I'm gonna persist with the T28 for the time being. but the T25G seems the go
  4. after a bit of careful investivgation the link that he sent goes to a russian spam/phishing site called nemf.ru if u hit this site, and u don't have half way decent anti-vir etc, you could unwittingly start relaying spam. don't worry too much about itabout cos it seems to target forums seems that there might be a small hole in the security software for this site that allowed the spam to get through. hope it doesnt damage anything on the servers
  5. 2. yep, the dizzy is locked, and the vac advance unplugged 3. nope fuel is still an issue... one of the previous owners (who had wired up the fuel pump, did not put a fuse in.... so now i have a dead pump). i have been talking with specialty tuning about the fuel set up, max boost i wanna run is about 8 - 10psi.... its not gonna be a car to pin me to my seat (that is what i have the 32 for) i just want a fun/semi reliable daily. 4. i have a SMIC from my 32 in the shed... if i cbf with it i will fit it. at the moment i want the induction as short as possible so there is no extra lag. (the same reason i don't have a massive fmic on the 32, boost comes on at about 4000Rpm with the highflow R33 s2 turbo on there, a big "look at me" FMIC would be a deficet) 5. yea i know exactly what the turbo is, i had a highflow T28 lined up as a replacment but since had done reserch about what is best hence wanting a T25 or even a stock turbo from an ET pulsar. thanks for the rant. the rolla is on hold for the moment, saving up for an OS holiday. will soon have a malpassi adjustable fuel reg and new facet pump on the way
  6. Specialty Tuning is where I'm going to go, just like the guys at blackwood dyno tune they are helpfull as
  7. cheers, i'll call em and see if i can start a price war :)
  8. hi guys, i almost have the rolla up to scratch with the 32/36 weber on it. (check the link in my sig if u are curious about the build etc) I'm thinking of getting it dyno tuned and properly jetted etc. I live in the brighton area, and am thinking of going to auto carby services to have it done. it seems to be a black art getting them tuned properly. are there any other work shops down this way that are worth looking at ? also is there anyone out there that would be willing to swap + relevant cash adjustment either way with my T28 turbo to a smaller on, eg. a T25? cheers in advance .:edited for extra detail:.
  9. cheers guys, i like your example Taz_Rx could anyone give me an example of a turbo carby rising rate fuel reg (ie brands, part numbers?) i'll hit google in the mean time :y:
  10. how would the car go if u did not have return line & FPR plumbed in? would the system rely on reliable fuel pump that supplies a constant pressure? just throwing this in the air cos I'm wondering what to do with my blow through 4k, my carby does not have a return outlet plumbed in. and with the turbo setup on it never had a return line pulmbed the other option that i had considered is putting a T piece in the fuel feed, and running that into the FPR.
  11. I'm an admin on another car forum www.streetcredit.com.au i must admit that occasionally new member requests do lax for a few days to get approved.... but not for months :y:
  12. lol sry about the max delay in my reply i don't wanna think about the coin that i have poured into the 32 lol, its so much fun tho.. its basically a go kart now upwards of 12k id say (not including the purchase, mostly cos i had way too much boost running thru the lil ceramic turbos, and blew a few). the ke36 was for sale on here a while back, have been slowly doing it up for a daily, once i have her going, i'll post up my what i have done and the cressy was fkn great, sold it cos auto's are boring, and i did not wanna feed it any more $$ no sir, was a twin turbo 1jz-gte :D sadly no, i don't have the beetle, the EJ or the TRX
  13. probably due to post count, on a lot of forums u need to have a minimum number of posts before you can sell items
  14. bit of background first of all, i have had the car for about 3 months, only things i have changed on it is the fuel pump, and dropped a weber in... I'm not too sure yet what previous back yard mechanics have done to it As for my choice of nuts. trx rims should really have shanked nuts on them (i went for this option, not only because they are what the trx's had on them, but also cos it will be a lil while before i get hubcentric rings in to take the load off the studs, and get it on the hub). the nuts that i had on the stockies were all miss matched and as they arent shanked they could not get enough purchase on the studs for my liking. i don't fancy loosing a wheel while driving :y: i took one of the nuts in, and they matched up the thread to one of the studs that they had lying around. pretty sure they guy said it was common on fords, not 100% sure what he said though, the dude was mumbling, and i was distracted by a nice cefiro in the carpark
