  3. I used a Ca20 box that lasted a while till the syncros went then i used a ca18det box and same thing. So i now have had the internals from a rb20det box put into the ca18 empty case and used the ca18 shafts

  4. Yeah no chance that it ll fit mate the spline for the gearboxwill be wrong the length will be wrong and if you change the diff the rear flange will be wrong. The tube will also be quite weak and i would suspect that the uni's wouldnt handle the power either
  5. what model you putting the ca in by the way?
  6. ca18 crossmemeber wont work u will need to fabricate one using the ca rubber gearbox mount very easy using some 25-30mm box section and some flat bar.
  7. nice ride how much did your caltracs cost you??
  8. the question you need to ask your self is why?? and don't forget this is a east/west engine you are going to put into a north/south application. Where is the throttle body, exhaust etc. What are you after power, ecconmy????
  9. good piont i was thinkin disc rear!
  10. you can add a second cailper via a bracket and you keep it a completely separate system. Then you retain your standard brakes for genaral drivin standard handbrake for hills and the new one for drift etc..
  11. come on bro i need to get 322rwhp down somehow?????
  12. the problem being using a diff which brackets on it they wouldnt line up with you chassis rails and i would be thinking this is where you would wanna be mounting and swiging your diff off?
  13. most suspension shops can convert your standard strut over to coilovers with a coil over sleeve. For the rear you would need to do a fair bit of work weld in strut towers, new mounts to diff and adding lower control arms i.e four link etc.. Just get your leaves setup from someone and they should be pretty good
  14. Yeah that was me ke35 coupe ca18det. Did i give it a good squeeze from the lights? (With ke55 bonet and grill)
  15. Lol the sent me the wrong brackets that bolt to the leg of the strut. Let us know how well yours brakes. Mine isnt as good as i would have thought and i have a 1' master and 270mm rear discs
  16. yeah same problem as you running the hopperstoppers front and ford patten hilux disc rear. I use pre Au pursuits on the front and Ba onwards on the rear. BUt ill be making a new set up. don't forget smaller rear bump stops with the larger housing on the diff. I didn t think about and hit a bump at hundredand the rear left wheel came off the ground about 10'
  17. Yes they are a great setup my mate has one at his we built that he may be prepared to sell cheap as he is looking to get another bike let me know if your interested. It is a ke70 l300 diff corona brakes, Fully rebuilt ca18 with forgies etc i d say done 5000k or so T3 turbo made 232rwhp on 12psi
  18. it ll just be trail and error dude. I d fit them up loose then go half a turn and go from there
  19. thats right they are adjustable so you can "tune" them. If set correctly they wouldn t have the same length as each other.
  20. looks nice and tidy good work!
  21. The wiring really shouldn t be that hard. If you leave the standard rolla harness alone and splice the ca one in really it only needs to be connected to the iginition and just wire the alternator up and the starter and some power to the computer.
  22. What are you going to do with those ones?
  23. whats so bad about ca's My mate has a ca in his Ke 70 its quite good!
  24. I used the standard cross memeber as well all i did was cut the brackets off the cross member and attached them to the motor with some range rover rubber engine mounts and lowered the motor into the engine bay and marked where the brackets need to be cut to allow them to sit flat against the cross memeber. I then cut them with a grinder and re welded to the cross memeber
