  1. I have a rn10 jilux diff in my coupe with the standard 5 stud patten and Ba falcon front brakes so i have 5 stud all round. Only thing to think about as well if you are shorting a diff set it up so you can use the same offset all the way round. I have to use pre au on the fron t and late model falcon on the back as the diff is a little narrow to use pre au on the back. MAkes buying wheels hard trust me!
  2. CA18DET WILL FIT A KE30-55 NO WORRIES NO CUTTING APART FROM A NEW SHIFTER LOCATION. Just need custom x-memeber to bolt it all. Rn10-13 hilux diff is the correct width or try any borg-warner commo diff ie-vl-vs or r31 skyline. Check my ke35 ca18 only runs a 12.41 with a slippin clutch though. Plently of info if you read up on my build good luck mate!
  3. i have the hopper stoppers kit i finf they are good no fadding but still don't fel quite right. I n think i need to make a new pin that sits between the booster and the master cylynder as it may be to short and not fully depressed the piston in the master
  4. with the gearbox mate you just centre it in the tunnel. You will need a custom tailshaft to run between the box and the diff. Whatever motor you use just get the standard box that belongs with that motor. Sr wont be that had just requires custom g/box crossmemeber modified enige mounts to fit it. Then wiring for the ecu etc. I would upgrade your radiator too.
  5. you can save yourself the drama and just buy mine. $13k
  6. a centre for them is cheap as just go get another one
  7. " Yes of course" seen so many people that don't though!!!!!! JUst stating a point that not everyone knows
  8. I d bush bash it and torch the piece of shit who cares how good it is for its age! Just my view....
  9. stiffer rear springs maybe. i havent had the diff hitting the floor on any launches and mine hooks up pretty sweet and squats quite well. Only issues i ve had is when hitting hardcore bumps in the road the tubes bottom out on the bump stop. I have a soft front spring pedders shock and rear is a added tramp leaf and areset springs with Peddars sports ryder shocks. I hate the lack of room when hitting bumps though. HAs been so bad before at bout 80 km per hour the following car reckons one wheel was 200mm of the ground. Sent me into a insane wheelspun full fish tail that i rather disliked too! ah ah a
  10. I would be installing a temp sender/switch in a radaitor hose or put a fitting in the radiator tank so that the thermo only swicthes on when needed. Otherwise its constatly on. This would take your car longer to warm up and will be on when not needed such as driving on the freeway etc. It is also bad as you want a certain temp in the cooling system. The ideal for my ca is 93 degress. So i have a switch i think ranges from 90-95 degress (Oil is at the right temp, fuel vauporizes properly etc)
  11. Just make sure to let us know when you do take it to the drags so we can come out and watch/Race.
  12. Very nice work dude would love to see this in the flesh. Lets us know when you are taking it down the strip! More photos and that would be sweet!!!
  13. so what are they a complete rim just with a blank center (like no holes drill?) Would be even better if you could buy the outer rim and then the centre and weld them to suit the offset u need. I need Ford Au for the front and Pre Au rear basically.
  14. that would be good mate if i can get that number! Save me parting the rim off and re-welding Cause i need 2x4', 2x 7' and 2x8'. All in ford stud pattern. Made some 10' ones for a mates Xy last weekend came up a treat.
  15. A real early model hilux diff is the go like Rn10-13 there are the right width and you can put either the 4x4 stock lsd or go the route i have and put a detroit true-trac or similar in. To get the brackets weld on for the spring was like $150 and $20 for the brackets for the brake hoses. Good luck finding a early hilux though all the rotor boys have stolen most of them already!
  16. what about the fact that most late model gearbox conversion run hydrulic clutches standard it makes sense to do the conversion. Price wise its cheap 40 for a slave and 90 for a master 60 odd for a custom hose.
  17. Yeah was in fast fours last month. Best time with old clutch that was slippin was a 12.41@115mph but the 60ft was like 2.2. So I m hoping with the new custom 5 puck and new box for a flat 12 on street tyres. Then if i don't sell it i might wind the boost up a bit and run my slicks once i make some custom wheels. I d be trying to crack a 11 then.
  18. nice. YEah paid $990 ofr a new one but they have since gone up so $750 was steal. LIke the powder coated housing looks good mate. Really looking good
  19. It never ends does it with these cars always improving. Putting the truetrac in my '35 was one of the best moves ever. WHat ratio you running? I m running 4.37 which seems a good ratio. What you doing for coilovers be interested to know waht setup you use as i thinking bout ggoing coilovers as well
  20. good work how much power was she making and what was your 60ft
  21. good work how much power was she making and what was your 60ft
  22. i used pbr sports cailpers (twin piston ba facon style) And Au 290mm discs with a patrol master cyl and rear is skyline single piston with 276mm discs. Rear cost me around $300 to do that is converting hilux drum to disc and front was around $1500 including the master!
  23. i can tell you you a rolla with 300rwhp is a fun bitch to drive lovin mine!!!
