i saw a rough ke20 ute? (90% sure it was a ke20) near pasco vale rd just parked in the front lawn, was full of surface rust

update i remove the buggerd stud without causing to much dramas why is the idler arm so close to the exhaust? anyone else had this problem? theres a 1mm gap between the exhaust and the idler arm witch leads me to believe thats what cause the stud to bend. i tried to lower/raise the engine mounts to get more clearance but nothing. engine mounts aren't cracked/sagged. so i cracked the shits and cut a small bit of the top of the idler mount off. now theres a 6mm gap. hers a pic of what was left of the gasket

try setting the dwell, got a multimeter? also the points gap needs to be set correctly or the coil wont have enough time to energise therefor giving a weak or no spark, also when you change the point breaker gap your ignition timing also is throw out, so this also has to be reset wheres the car? ill come down and have a look but don't wanna travel far with my dodgy fixed ke55

i believe my car is running like a bag of shit, so i changed the plugs for a new set. is 5.00KΩ to high resistance between ignition leads? thanks for any advice. (i left my workshop manual at work DOH!)
