well i tried tightening ages ago and the whole stud was turning on a angle, so i tried to undo it but it came out a bit then i didnt have the strength to undo it with a 1/2 inch ratchet. ill try to take the f*cked stud out and replace the stud if it doesnt snap 1) If the tread is f@$ked ill tap it out and use a slightly lager stud, 2) If that fails ill use the 3kc manifold or if i get really annoyed ill cut the flange off the "Hot Box" and weld it straight on the manifold :jamie:

just had a quick look at me 4kc and its got twin pipes from the base of the manifold? hmmmm

f@$k now you got me thinking LOL! dw about taking the manifolds off , take the f@$ked stud out, put a new stud in and hopefully she will tightened, if it doesnt ill tap it out and use a bigger stud! cheers fellas!

thanks for the reply taz, manifold to "hot box" i tried tightening the nut but the whole stud was turning and nothing any difference 3kc manifold to the 4kc one? thanks mate

my manifold has a f@$ked stud on the bottom of the collector (4KC) and now has no gasket on the bottom of the collector Ive got a 3kc manifold (are they any different? worth giving her a quick port job?) should i reused the old exhaust manifold gasket or get a genuine one?? do i need to remove the intake manifold to get the exhaust manifold off? any answers well be greatly appreciated :D

go to the car wash a give the fins of the radiator a blast, possibly blocked?

you running a fan shroud? using green coolant? water in the sump is a defenat give away

check that 1 wire going to the alternator isnt burnt/damaged etc, that wire carries 12volts to the alternator exticing the diodes and telling the alternator to charge

use the 3k head or do the proper thing and use the 4kc head and shave it down abit, use NEW rings bearings etc etc webber lump stick exhaust

it make me feel AWSOME, grin ear to ear, doing 90kph in 2nd gear I LOVE MY 4KC.

first time in 3 months i drove my car to work, GOD I LOVE THE 4K POWER HOUSE AND THE 3 SPEED!!!!

thats no 4k head, got no coolant plate on the back?
