well i tried tightening ages ago and the whole stud was turning on a angle, so i tried to undo it but it came out a bit then i didnt have the strength to undo it with a 1/2 inch ratchet.
ill try to take the f*cked stud out and replace the stud if it doesnt snap
1) If the tread is f@$ked ill tap it out and use a slightly lager stud,
2) If that fails ill use the 3kc manifold
or if i get really annoyed ill cut the flange off the "Hot Box" and weld it straight on the manifold :jamie:
f@$k now you got me thinking LOL! dw about taking the manifolds off , take the f@$ked stud out, put a new stud in and hopefully she will tightened, if it doesnt ill tap it out and use a bigger stud! cheers fellas!

my manifold has a f@$ked stud on the bottom of the collector (4KC) and now has no gasket on the bottom of the collector
Ive got a 3kc manifold (are they any different? worth giving her a quick port job?)
should i reused the old exhaust manifold gasket or get a genuine one??
do i need to remove the intake manifold to get the exhaust manifold off?

check that 1 wire going to the alternator isnt burnt/damaged etc, that wire carries 12volts to the alternator exticing the diodes and telling the alternator to charge
