  1. Unfortunately, the time has come to find the next home for my Restored KE15. Some of you may remember the original build by Homer. But some changes have been made to improve performance, handling and reliability. Car is fitted with a 4AGZE (supercharged), with custom under over radiator intercooler. Suspension upgrade to adjustable coilovers and custom strut bar. A front swaybar has also been added. Brakes have been upgraded to KE70 rotors and calipers on the front and Celica drums on the rear. Battery has been relocated to the boot to allow for a larger unit to be installed. Bonnet, roof and front guards have had rust removed and have recently been repainted. The interior is comfortable with custom leather interior and Bluetooth stereo. The car is currently registered in Queensland and has modification compliance certificates for Queensland, Victoria and NSW. The full certification report required for NSW, all 13 pages of it, will go with the car to make registration easier if required. Currently located in Townsville QLD. May be able to assist with transport in the right circumstances. Asking $25,000.00 ONO.
  2. Hi, Before I begin and people say to look at the ke10 suspension thread I want to say that I already have. I am in the process of lowering my ke10. I will be removing the transverse leaf. I am removing the ke10 top hats and swapping them with ke20 ones. I will also be putting in ke20 Lovell super-low springs. My question is...has anybody done this? I would also like to know if anybody has successfully changed ke10 strut inserts? Aw11 seem to be the go....
  3. Hi guys, I'm continuing to further modify my ke10 and have reached the stage of rim fitment. I'm after an aggressive stance and refuse to believe that 14x6 is the biggest I can go. I'm currently looking at a few options...a 15x8 +0 rear and a 15x7 +10 front. Or 14x7.5 -7 Is there anybody out there who's seen or done something similar.... Any help is appreciatedâ˜ș
  4. About time I put up a rides thread on my 1969 KE15 Toyota Corolla Sprinter, since its been 6 months since I bought it. The purchase came about as I had a hankering to own another classic besides the Celica, which I could put on club reg and use for the odd spot of hillclimbing, Sunday cruising etc, and be less precious about it - the Celica spends more time in the garage than it should because I am terrified someone will open their door on it in a carpark, or its raining, or the day ends in Y... etc etc. I spotted a KE15 on ebay that was a bit rough around the edges, but I figured in time with some love I could get it to fit the brief. I called the owner, and he quickly worked out who I was and that I was the silver RA23 owner. He said the blue Sprinter I was looking at was too rough for me, but he had another one (this one) that he thinks I would much prefer. He sent me some photos and he was right... I told the other half the budget for the fun car had just gone up, and promptly dashed over for a look. So I went and looked, and it was pretty. So I bought it, without a good look over I must confess, but it was too pretty not to have! That failure to give it a good look over has probably cost me a bit of money in hindsight, but I love the car so all is fair in love and car sales.... History as I know it.. bought from Tasmania 10+ years ago with plans to become a Group Nc racer, but fortunately for me that never happened. The Tasmanian owner had painted it red, from its original white, and it was a nice tidy job. Its been shed bound since that purchase 10 years ago, explaining why it still looks good. At some point it has been fitted with a stock 4K engine and 5 speed. The guy I bought it from fitted a weber 45 to it, which was clearly too big for a stock motor, so my mechanic Peter Robinson Automotive fitted a stock carby to get us up and running. I will eventually sell the 45, and try and get something more appropriate for the engine, probably a 38 or 40. It sat in Peter's workshop for a few months (like 3 months!) while I was away in Ballarat, and he gradually fixed up for me a number of deficiencies the car had. She had her public debut a week ago at TCCAV's Cars Coffee & Donuts and everyone seemed to like her very much. Photos (mostly taken by the previous owner) When I first got it home Then I found these through rollaclub Which will look even more ace when I get a better tyre size/profile on them This is her at Donuts Plans are to do some or all of the following: 1. Fit a smaller Weber 2. Fit some suspension that is more handling oriented 3. Fit semi slicks to the superlite rims as my "race rubber" 4. Maybe fit some period styled race bucket seats, and harnesses 5. Racing stripe and period style door numbers 6. Enjoy :)
  5. Suppose I should start a build thread . Even though I am probably not going to start the build for 6 months or more . Plenty of time to collect the bits I need. In the middle of a AE86 RESTO so it is taking all my time and money. So here is the plan , I am going to build it to peroid goodness , but not going to be anal about KE15 Exactness . She already has had a 3k engine and a later 4 speed gearbox fitted. Plus the horrendous , non adjust drums have been replace with KE17 disc set up. Car is only going to be a weekender on Historic Rego , so I will freshen the 3K , mid cam , twin asian and reco suspension and diff and drive line. Back to bare metal respray , a few rust area,s to fix ( good excuse to get a better Welder ) . Re-do interior , carpets ,rear seats ,all new rubbers , roof lining etc etc . Already found a great set of AW11 MR2 seats for the front . It came with a set of Mazda 6" x 13" steelies . Thinking of stripping and powder coating and adding a nice set of chrome dress rims. The major thing that are missing are ---- no dash pad , no intrument cluster , and a few badges missing. Anyhow early days yet ,will update post as things develop.
