pro_ke Posted June 24, 2004 Author Report Posted June 24, 2004 oh dear, i typed up a reply with links to the pics i uploaded but IE decided backspace means 'go back to the previous page' arghgggh! i can't remember exactly how much i paid but i think about 600 for the carbs + manifold with no linkages or trumpets etc. turned out to be a very expensive exercise, i think getting them on the car and complete would have cost me just over a grand :) Quote
pro_ke Posted June 25, 2004 Author Report Posted June 25, 2004 heres one of the pics (don't know what i did with the other links!) engine bay 90% complete in this pic *edit* here we go just painted prior to rebuild Quote
Medicine_Man Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Damn, thats looking hot, amazning what a fresh coat of paint can do :) Quote
demuire Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Oh WOW Speedflow fittings everywhere :) ;) :) Quote
Super Jamie Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 yes alex and his rice fittings ;) notice the sandwich plate and oil cooler stashed behind the front grille, mmm alex also really, really, really likes guy sebastian. watch out :) hehehe Quote
demuire Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Go the Fro :) Rice fittings? Man, you haven't used Speedflow fittings before have you? Once you've used them, everything else just seems so... inferior... Do you have 2 thermofans on that radiator (one front one back)? Looks like it from that angle... Quote
pro_ke Posted June 25, 2004 Author Report Posted June 25, 2004 jamie - I'm over guy sebastion now, i have a new and slightly more heterosexual obsession with kelis! fook is right about speedflow fittings, once you go black you never go back, or something along those lines ;) i do think they are ricey on my car because i don't need them at all (same with oil cooler) but its hard to fight the addiction, yes there are more fittings to come hehehe. just the 1 thermo fook, what you are seeing is probably the little factory fan shroud that is brazed (?) onto the back of the radiator... oh and just to clarify - i know this is all overkill and the car will not be particularly fast... :) but you just can't beat that weber induction noise ... Super Jamie Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 i actually kinda like it, it's good to dance naughty and close to the wench to when you're out clubbing :) Quote
demuire Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 I love your usage of the word "wench" I don't, I think it's unnecessarily degrading, but that's probably just cause I'm a little too in touch with my feminine side :) Quote
