January 21, 200719 yr comment_160467 ok i took a pic of the manifold and turbo mounted on my other engine, From the pic I'm pretty sure you can work out how the engine sits in a RWD format, Dunno how good the pic will come up as it was done on my mates camera phone. P.S. The housing still has to be turned but i havnt got that far yet. Edited January 21, 200719 yr by Trev Report
January 21, 200719 yr comment_160488 Yeah it clears alot, Wouldnt be able to use it in a FWD as it sits so high, I love how the turbo sits non-parallel to the engine :jamie: Report
January 21, 200719 yr comment_160521 He wouldn't come at it, sooooo. Any links for stuff similar to yours? Sadly the slant bit will screw me for using the factory Nis-an dump pipe and make the hot side a bit close to the starter motor (something I try to avoid lest hot starts become impossible). Anyone else help with turbo manifolds folds for a 16v, thnks.Cheers Sbox Umm i think that the standard 4AGE exhaust would have more heat problems than this would. Report
January 21, 200719 yr comment_160529 Hi, With heat and the starter I would imagine a turbo hanging there will be the same as there run at same heat so I'd say it will create no problem Off Topic comment: Also with your home made turbo jet you spoke about Sbox what turbo did you design one around? Also you make a pure micro turbine out of one or just build a combustion chamber for a turbo? Also anything off a car motor makes CRAP jets use truck turbos as u will enjoy it more and u can trust me there :jamie: ..lol Cameron Edited January 21, 200719 yr by camerondownunder88 Report
January 21, 200719 yr comment_160536 Hi, With heat and the starter I would imagin a turbo haning there will be the same as there run at same heat so. But one problem I can see here is after shut down of the motor the turbo housing will retain heat so this might cause trouble. January 21, 200719 yr comment_160557 IF you want to fit it to a 16v, redrill the outer two holes. Fits on like this: There manifolds are templated to a 20v. Just make sure you brace the turbo up because these are we known to crack. Report

Does it clear everything, with enough room on the hot side so as not to cook anything?. I got hold of the bloke that sold the manifold to me and he said that the 20v is a 4AGE so technically he hasn't done any false advertising, he also said he would be happy to give me my dough back. So thats pretty good from a financial side of things, I am not going to drill or die grind the bolt holes though as I can see some problems down the road with that approach. So I still need a manifold. He gets the flange plates premade and does not have a template for the 16valve. I have asked him if I send my own flange plate to him, if he is interested in doing the pipework. If he is I'll take my cardboard template and some 10mm flat bar off to Lasercut. Will keep you posted as to how it all pans out.Cheers Sbox Nah even though it is easy enough he doesnt wanna do it. Report
January 22, 200719 yr comment_160611 Good stuff and its a genuine JDM manifold :), Whatever you do don't buy the stainless log manifold that is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Coro...074491684QQrdZ1 I really don't think that it would flow all to well. Report
January 22, 200719 yr comment_160615 Only other one is here. When i removed the battery and added a few more things. Report
January 22, 200719 yr comment_160626 i can't work out the setup there. how come there is a pod filter straight onto the inlet manifold and an airbox(?) feeding the impeller side of the turbo? Report
