Spotted... sort of. This is more a lead on a great car for sale that has come through the Toyota Car Club.

 

One owner 1974 KE20 Corolla. Manual. Lime Green. 140,000km or something.

 

The good - pretty damned straight for its age, clean, dash is not split, has all hub caps and dress rings, most of the chrome is in good nick, back seat has no splits. Still registered until October. Well maintained and started first kick. Still has its owners manual, original key and the little fold up key pouch that the keys came in.

 

The bad - rust in bottom of both front guards (rust repair panel size), a bit in the c-pillar paint is faded all over the car and crazed on the front guards. Front carpet buggered, and front seats spit but have seat covers. Passenger door has a number of dents from another car door being opened on it. Drivers door has a crease. Rear bumper has big ding in the middle.

 

The older gent who owns it wants it to go to a good home where it will get loved. Consequently asking around $1200 but I suggest you will get it for $1k easy enough.

 

If you are serious about it - I don't want the old guy harassed by lots of tyre kickers, PM me and I will pass on his details.

 

I am sorely tempted to buy this tidy it up and sell it at a profit on ebay, but I need to resist the temptation!!

 

 

that looks very much like the one a mate bought 15ish months ago, then sold it 3 months later.

The guy who owns it.. an older man of asian descent.. has owned it since brand new. Could tell you everything about it, whats been done, etc etc.

 

So it hasn't gone through any one else's hands.

 

They are only selling it as they don't feel its particularly good for carrying the grand kids about in.
