Medicine_Man Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 Teddy's white KE70 had some rust coming back out around the fuel filler lid so we decided the other weekend to give it another bash and bog to make it look a bit more respectable. Started to peel off the bubbling rust and we gave it a good grind back so we could slap some fibreglass bog into it. Then it had another layer of body filler and a coat of undercoat put over it. HEKTIC Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 nice work, what are you using to sand your bog? an easer board? or what Quote
demuire Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 You must teach me how to bog like that. I suck at the bogging. I think my mixture is wrong? I can never seem to quite get it right... Quote
78_7kRolla Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 nice work, keeping another rolla on the road :S Quote

love ke70 Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 why did you not treat it with anything to stop the rust coming back? Quote
Medicine_Man Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 Rust is not going to come back through that fibreglass bog... Quote
love ke70 Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 but it will rust under the bog and push the bog out in time unless the metal is treated. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 Yes "in time" but its going to last ten times longer than the first bash and bog job it had. Quote
