Redwarf Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Thanks Guys! :P I think you should be able to get a new gear cut for that. There shouldn't be a need to get a complete new set. Cheers R Quote
Teddy Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 ...its still good... :P ...nar, not this time. Quote
demuire Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Rob: Why are you still here (in Brisbane I assume, since you're online)? Aren't you doing Benarkin? Quote
Redwarf Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Not doing Benarkin due to First born's impending arrival. (Due yesterday!) Quote
Xany Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 i thought rather than make a new thread i'd put it in here..... my Ke55 5 speed gearbox went bye bye the other night..... opened it up today and found this i think my second gear cog might be laying on the bottom of the box.......bloody to much torque. Quote
demuire Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Xany: Oooh nice work! When I drained the oil from my last box (T50) it had lots of little bits of shiny things too. Never did open up the box... Rob: Already? Wow, time flies!!! That would mean... I haven't visited you in too long! Quote
irokin Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 munchy munchy gearbox for lunchy Over here the average gear machinist will charge about Aus$400 - Aus$500 PER RATIO! and the waiting queue is so long you might as well not bother... That said I don't know what its like in norway...maybe you could investigate getting new individual gears from Sellholm Quote
Teddy Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 David : if your gona strip a gear, ad least do a good job of it :P lol jk Good work Xany ! Quote
David[RL] Posted September 11, 2004 Author Report Posted September 11, 2004 (edited) asked sellhom about this, about $200 to $300 US Dollars per ratio that's expensive but I will do it, just need to wait a month or so, doesn't have the money yet hehe It will be worth it since the gearbox cost around $3500 US dollars new and the car accelerates *MUCH* faster with the sellholm gearbox Edited September 11, 2004 by David Quote
