HIGH ROLLER Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 Twin centre mounted coil-overs sounds good... But how do they mount? isn't that a 4-link? sorry I'm a bit do-do on some topics of modification... Quote
Trev Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 All i know is that there was a x-over beam put in between the tubs and they bolted to that, I never got a chance to look at the full suspension setup. Quote
KE04AG Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 Finally had a chance to read your thread.Your plan sounds awesome. Matt from Hi- Tech didn't tell me too much about it! Did tou end up getting the crystal headlights? I bought a set about a month ago from autoparts world at Richmond. I think they were about $70. You have to change the plug on the back so they fit the corolla wiring. Keep it up mate. Quote
Jono Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) what do the crystal lights look like? i replaced mine with a set of Hella H4 headlights, which have the same plug. i forgot to put one plug on the first night i drove it and it was heaps brighter with just one headlight working. obviously with both on it is sooo much brighter again. irokin Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 There's untubbed KE20's in australia running 10's Faster!! Theres at least 3 running 8s untubbed. I'm interested to see how this 3076R comes out. I personally don't think its very suited but I'm happy to be proven wrong. Theres a whole bunch of turbos between the 2860 and the 3076, surely theres one better suited in there. Quote
HIGH ROLLER Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 Yeah i was very sceptical about the GT3076r when i heard about it... But like people say, don't say u'll do it, DO IT! and Mick's Motorsport have done it... he reckons he had over 400Hp with that turbo...spools up nice... Yeah i might have to head out and grab some of those crystal lights, they look sick... Hey KE04AG, what suspension you running up front on ur rolla? Thanks for the support guys, wow i'm so geed to get crackin on some work... I have next week off, so i'll be sourcin my diff... cheers Quote
KE04AG Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 HIGHROLLER, my front suspension is nothing radical. I've just got standard struts with Pedders springs, Koni shocks and all nolathane bushes throughout. The steering is all brand new. As you have seen it is all smoothed and painted! Quote

SIK 030 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 man if this thing gets engineered i'll... i'll ..... i'll eat my hat! i had a look at trying to get me ke30 engineered with a stock 4age in it not easy Quote
Jono Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 i found engineering my ke20 with a 100kw 4age easy as pie. Quote
HIGH ROLLER Posted October 10, 2007 Author Report Posted October 10, 2007 Through all of my plans i have been in constant contact with a certain engineer... He seems to think it's not hard to engineer, do it once, do it right... He's always giving me advice on how to do work, what i can and can't engineer, tricks and loopholes... SR20 would be different story, say goodbye to Mr Sump...hahaha Quote
Jono Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 you can engineer (legitimately) up to a 1.9 litre turbo in a ke20. you have it spot on. do it properly and engineering isn't an issue, just another expense. if you go to bodgy brothers conversions and cut corners everywhere you can't expect an engineer to just sign you off. I like ur style JC, John Virmitidis? from Consulmotive said he will register a SR20det in it... apparently you can go by the weight of the heaviest variant of the model... But it needs either sump work, or steering work...much more money... HAHA Bodgy Bros....do u have theyr number? jkz... thats it, i want all nice and clean and LEGAL so when i get pulled over in a defect stop i can drive away laughing... Still on the lookout for a diff, VL Turbo 3.45 or VN LSD 3.08... cheers, Marky Mark Quote
Jono Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 would be one hell of a top speed machine with a 3.08. Quote
TUFFKE20 Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 i wish my dream car costs 1600. good buy My ke20 Quote
