loupee Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 hi I'm new to this forum and recently bought a ke20. i have put ke55 struts and brakes onto it and also a ke55 diff. the problem i am having is that the handbrake cables from the ke55 diff seem to be to short. so do i put the cables from my old diff on, or is there another way? any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers. Jono Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 i have this setup on my car. they are short but will just go on. did you do it properly and move the leaf mounts? Quote
loupee Posted August 26, 2007 Author Report Posted August 26, 2007 i actually made 30mm blocks with new shock mounts on the and offset the pins that go into the leaf and mount by 10mm. the thing is that all the mounting positions are different for the cable brackets, did you just redrill new holes? coln72 Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 (edited) easier to use the KE55 axels in the KE20 diff and to bolt the KE55 backing plates the the housing. Only mod is that you need to take a bees dick off the (spline) end of the axels. can't remember having any issues with handbrake cables. Doesn't help you out much though...........:P Edited August 26, 2007 by coln72 Quote

Wouldnt that then require KE30 axles not KE55 axles as the Borg Warner axles are "supposedly" different and wont fit? Quote
coln72 Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 yeah probably, but you get the same result in the end don't you. Quote
jamesrolla Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 the ke20 diff in my ke11 is a borgwarner, so you can use ke55 axles in that Quote
