Well I'm off to the holy land in a couple of weeks to go car shopping for myself and a couple of friends, so I thought I might have a quick look at the auction yards themselves just out of curiosity.

Um... I'm going to need some VERY comfy shoes.

Just a couple here as examples...

Nagoya.

Note that there is a multi-level carpark in this one, as well as the surrounding lots.

This is the big daddy. USS Tokyo.

20000 cars on a thursday, every week.

Each section is 4 cars wide and about 70 cars deep. That's quite a few.

As a size comparison, this is something many of you would be familiar with. Indooroopilly shopping centre, from the same elevation. Not exactly a small structure by any means. I reckon you could fit it a few of them into the USS yard.

Jealous.

Your spelling implies that you are translucent, gelatinous and wobbly... but tasty with ice cream. :jamie:

Don't worry Teddy I'll be sharing as much of the experience as I can via text, pics and maybe some video.... just bought a new laptop to take over so I have no excuse really.

WANGAN freeway

And late at night you can hear the sounds of the Devil-Z and the Blackbird racing each other

Apart from that wouldn't have a clue, but i'd say that car park would be full of VIP and other shut hot modes of transport including those wacked out vans on saturday night

Daikoku Futo: spiritual home/meeting point of the street drifter/racer innit?

The sideways boys meet there before heading to the hills, and the big players head for the wangan for rolling start drag races and top speed runs.......

For a true test of outright power, rolling starts are it......

It's like a staging area in between rally events. (apart from the part where they get raided by the fuzz) :jamie:

That the one?
