i should be there. my steering is pretty heavy atm (stupid 6cyl engine and smaller steering wheel) I may get a stock corolla steering wheel and put it on.

cuttingham highway

i once got the two mixed up and was supposed to be heading to willowbank.......lets just say that it was just before marburg i relised that i was going the wrong way.....lucky i didnt have to go right back to the jundtion and found a shortcut.

It's the Cunningham Highway actually. I think it is JUST in the UBD, almost at the limit of maps. It's on Champions Way, Willowbank.

 

Directions:

 

- Get onto Centenary Highway, go to the end at the big roundabout.

- Take the second exit so that you are getting onto Ipswich Road, heading towards Ipswich.

- Drive along there for ages - past the Goodna McDonalds, past Redbank Plaza, round the bend, up the hill, under the bridges.

- DON'T take the exit to Warwick, but DO take the Cunningham Highway, which is the exit after it. It will be signposted to Amberley.

- If you get to a 60 zone, you've gone too far.

 

- Drive along there for AGES - past Yamanto McDonalds, past the Mobil service station on your right.

- Go PAST the turn off to Amberley, go past a petrol station on your left

- Go PAST the big plane (you'll know what I mean when you see it) on your right.

 

- Go past a cemetery on your left, go round a left hand corner.

- Take the next right, there is a huge sign saying "IPSWICH MOTORSPORT DISTRICT". This is Champions Way.

- Turn left into the drag strip (near the go karts)

- If you go to Queensland Raceway at the end, you've gone too far.

 

Allow 1 hour from Brisbane CBD.

its only something like 50km's, but it always take adleast an hour. Took me 1 hour 15 or so to get there, dam 90km speed limits :D

Usually takes me about 45 minutes to get there? About 30 minutes to Ipswich, additional 15 minutes to Willowbank... I think?

i remember the tempture gauge hitting the middle, then putting the heater on full, then the temp gauge go down ever so slightly :D

 

It was a very hot day for the poor old rolla.

mines been running on 3/4s the past few days..

shes not too responsive in the power depo when it starts to go anywhere near or over the middle.
