Gave the car a very quick hose down just to get all the sanding dust off.

Have lightly wetsanded body back in 1200 grit paper ready to do a cut polish. hopefully comes out a tad shiny. atleast the body feels smoooth not rough anymore.

quick update,

spent hour or two at wreckers this arvo.

Picked up a Charcol canister (thik thats what it is) not off a corolla, but a different toyota. should do same job to past roady.

got some various hoses ect, fuel filter bracket, A battery tray form a cressada. (spelling). fits perfect.

Got a Gearshifter soround, and handbrake one from a late model camry. unsure if it will fit. but ill make the bugger fit haha.

Got a shelft that sits under the dash on passenger side. came off a Corona. just needs some brackets made up out of some scrap metal.

got some near new spark plug leads,

Few small nick nacks.

If anyone knows what the plugs circled are, plz reply here or pm. guessing 1) is a resister or something. has 12v on it.

2 and 3 guessing for radio? 3) actually has bullet type plugs. they moved when pic was taken.

 

 

My nasty rust. seam is good, but panel is rooted. will sort something out. started sanding back whole back end. some surface rust was lurking behind the rear lights, bit in boot.

 

 

Plug number 1 is the light that hangs above the standard radio

 

Plug 3 might be the cig lighter. Tho I can't tell from this angle and this far away.

 

2- Unsure.

 

As for the second pic I donno.

ahh yes the cig lighter. havent got that on yet.. makes sense lol

Those two last circled ones don't plug into each other do they?? I now there s something similar in that region that i the brake light connected to the brake peddle.
