ke30dude Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 dad sprayed this putty paint stuff onthe roof when he was fixing that, and heaps of overspray got on my windows :P he says it will come off easy but will it?? haha Yep use a rag wet with thinners and it should come off fairly easily. Quote
kryton brown Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 If still no joy with the rag, use a new razor blade like the ones you put in scrapers and it'll come off.. it won't scratch the glass either.. :P Quote
benpedder Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 cool as then, dads got a new pack of razorblades :P so if we have no thinners i shall get them onto it :D Quote

Doogs Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 To every good preperation, should equal a good finish. :) Long live the rolla. :( :D Exactly. From what I understand a good paint job is all in the prep work. Keep at it :P Quote
benpedder Posted June 28, 2008 Author Report Posted June 28, 2008 Is there any "trick" to seeing whether you have missed any parts. jsut from a quick look i can't see any more shiny bits but i don't want to paint it and then have the paint go gay and have to restart :P Quote
benpedder Posted June 28, 2008 Author Report Posted June 28, 2008 thought i might take some more photos. :D as an excuse to drive from the shed to the front lawn :P Quote
Johno Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 I'm a painter and i have to sand nearly everyday, Been doing it for just on 11 years now. The finished product does come down to how much effort you put in on the prep. With seeing if you have any misses, get a big 500w halogen flood light (you can buy them from the hardware store for about 15-20 bucks) Get it as close as you can to the body of the car and shine it down the side of the pannels. That way it will show you if there are anything you still need to sand (or fill) Quote
