ke30dude Posted June 13, 2009 Author Report Posted June 13, 2009 I got stuck into this beast again today, with some good results  Main shell should be in primer by next week, been working on the rear guards, woken up to the fact they will never be perfect. Since the last update I have moved house, I drove it as it was in the last set of pics the small journey to the new place. it went really well. Today I sanded back the last lot of filler I had applied to the rear end. Once that was done I took some rust convertr to the areas with surface rust. Finally I mixed up some primer filler and put it through the gun on the rear guards. Pics!! Quote
PMP020 Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 soooooo you like lawn mowers  keep up the good work champ. cheers, scott Quote
ke30dude Posted June 13, 2009 Author Report Posted June 13, 2009 I was waiting for somone to say something about them, yep they are easy money, and breed like rabbits. Today I am hoping to do the roof on the ke20, will see how we go. Quote
Doogs Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Good to hear its progressing again, sometimes we get a bit strapped for time don't we ! Quote
ke30dude Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 All the holes where the chrome strips used to clip on under the doors have been filled up and sanded, At this stage I am hopong to get it all masked up for a full coat of primer filler by this weekend. I went up to the old girl on sunday morning and it would not start for the life of it, I cleaned the points, changed the dizzy cap (the carbon button was really worn) cleaned the plugs and found a faulty plug lead, it now runs better than ever. Cheers Doogs, both money and time have been a problem here, house repayments are taking prority now. I do get a little time each afternoon after work. This car must be on the road by october, as I get off my P's and my missus takes my 01 corolla off me. Quote
Doogs Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 I have exactly the same troubles. Almost a year ago I got stuck into mine, then problems arose and I became short of time and money. Still a fair bit of work to do now, but thankfully I am starting to get some time again. Keep at it mate. Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 the beauty of it though is that if the car isnt costing you any money sitting there you can leave it till the time/money becomes available Quote
