The bottom shock plate mounts are made of 6mm steel and welded on,

they work better the longer they are (but you gotta clear the ground).

 

the triangles are cut out of 3mm steel sheet,

they also work better longer, but to get the legal 100mm clearance they have to be kept small. :)

yeah, you can, for holdens, fords and american cars, not for rolas.

 

They are really common on leaf sprung cars at the drags, thats where i copied mine from.

 

They are called caltrac ot caltrax, try google for more pics of professional sets?

oh yes ok can u make the ones off holden or ford fit or are the mounting points diff?

what is the advantage of having the rod adjustable? also with the commo pan hard rod can you cut them and weld them back at the right length?? or what is the best way of doin that?? johnnyt

ive been flat out over the last couple of days here is my progress! ive put brand new monroe gt gas shockies in, whiteline sway bar. and a fresh coat of paint on the diff. also today i took the engine out and cleaned it ready for the painters to do there thing! should have it to them around the 2nd of jan get it bak mid-late feb to put the SR bak in!(finally) ;)

The adjustable rod will make it so that you can adjust to different lengths which will provide different levels of traction.

I've been told a bit of pre-load on one side works the best, will try it once mine are adjustable.

 

The commo panhards on mine are cut and shut, if you made them adjustable at the same time it would be ideal.

 

Nice set up on the rear, the swaybar will also help with putting the power down, mot a big fan of monroe though....

thats right they are adjustable so you can "tune" them. If set correctly they wouldn t have the same length as each other.

oh ok i havnt really had much too do with them but i guess ill find out.. oh so which side is the best side that would be best to put pre load on?

Here is the front of my new rolla.. my plan was to put the k55 front on it but it doesn't have the mounts to mount the 55 headlights! ;) so i decided to stick with the ke30 look now. what is everyone's view of the front of my 30? i had to cut the bottom half of the grill out because of the way he the intercooler is mounted .sorta sucks cause now its not so much of a sleeper.which i first wanted but i didn't have a choice anyways tell me what ya think thanks johnnyt

it ll just be trail and error dude. I d fit them up loose then go half a turn and go from there

pre-load drivers side i recon.

 

It is a shame you couldnt get it in behind the grill, but theres not much else you could do.

 

I managed to shave the back off mine until it just fitted, but i think ke55 grills sit out a bit further.

had to rethink my colour the ford focus wasnt what i wanted at was real dull if it wasnt in the light and for 4 litres was about $950!!! one of the pearls was about $500 for 400ml couldnt belive it so now I'm thinkin xr6 blue with awsum metallic! this is gota bethe colour casue the engine bay is gettin sprayed on sat! such a hard choice!
