I've painted the bonnet too. Did that satdee night. Might have to go with the air filter thru the bonnet or a design on it as it REALLY needs soemthing to break up all the black.

haha, that'd work on the roof. not so sure about the bonnet.

probably go with a Filter thru the bonnet.

Contemplating making the front section (radiator and headlight support) an all bolt on affair. Just that I'm not keen on havin to lift a V8 in and out of a ke30 bay.

So having the front removable means i can just slide the whole engine and gearbox out from the front, hopefully.

Struts are out. hopefully get some XT130's, MX62 brakes and RA60 rotors.

Also got an AE71 clutch MC. hopeing to use that for my rear brakes.

Interior is 3/4 painted just have to vacuum the dirt out of it all, amazing how much ends up IN the car

Window, basically dropped put of the tracks on an angle =S. Myles was the first person to see the rolla (besides Murderess who took me to pick it up) and YEP, Just had to break something  Took it back to his place and made the little bugger fix it :hmm:

Don't worry make every car I've had has had the passenger window come off the runner at some point.

This was the first car (out of 5) to do it.

Update:

My thermo rocked up today, bought it as a 12in. Got it today and it measured in at about 15in. So it should keep everything nice and cool, hopefully.

Picked up a battery master switch from Autobarns for $20. same as the one as you see on the dragsters

long story short.

have u bolted up?, test fitted? or even bought the running gear yet?

or you still messing around with the shitty things like autobarn shiney bits that don't make it got any faster?

cheers, scott

ive got a few leads on the running gear but atm they're out of my budget.

I don't see how a battery isolation switch is shiney autobarn shit? I'm sure if something goes astray (touch wood it wont) whoever is there will appreciate some way to isolate the power 8/

Anyways, Got the doors on and 99% of the interior painted. just have to finish painting the passenger front 1/4 then the exterior is done.

Project might go on hold till a) find the running gear b) Buy some stuff i need for me ute or c) find me another daily.

Will just have to wait and see what happens.

You know what you should do, save your moneys for a 308 in your ute.

Then you can get a shitty cheap ecotec and auto, which should make more power than a stock 308 anyways, plus is shorter and easier to fit. But it wont have that sweet V8 grumble.

You could pickup a 253 tri combo for about 200 probably cause no one wants them, or even dumby the whole setup with the 253 then slot a 308 in later. 253 has the same shape mounts everything.

Yea, I'm having trouble finidng something in that price bracket. I went to see some guys i know at a holden wreckers and the asking price for a 253 and tri combo was around $1200 :sob: but only 300 more for a 308 and tri.

I don't really wanna V8 the ute as the engine in there was only done 2yrs ago and hasnt missed a beat. I know i wont get back what i paid if i sell it so i might aswel stick with it, its plently fast enough for what i do anyways 8/.

Might get a bit better fuel economy with a 308 in the ute though. 8/

Reckon I might be able to hunt down a 253 cheaper up this way if i looked. Talk to you on msn about it.
