I think they trap the heat in once they get hot and make the dash more prone to cracking Report

January 25, 200917 yr comment_311025 They stop direct sunlight penetrating the dash itself and prolong the life of your dash by reducing the risk of cracking. Woolen underlay dashmats keep the heat off the dash and in the mat. :hmm: Report
