fkj Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I WILL KILL THEM FIRST :) hmmm, who can pull some strings with the UN? Quote
7shades Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Heh... I've worked with UN 'peacekeepers"... They're as corrupt as any other military or police force. Bribery gets you a long way, you just need to work out what they want. :) Quote
fkj Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 do they take rollaclub stickers as bribes? 1 Quote
TOM Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Unfortunately I don't think bribery would get you anywhere in this case. Plus, if the people are ever allowed to return to their homes one would imagine they might want the old Toyota's - some were probably sold but never delivered... Anyway more fun... Bahahahaha Love this one Only in america would you find something like this... Quote
7shades Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Love this one I do believe that thar be an RN20 Hilux, says I. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Jeez thats a nice ute, such a overrated (looking) front end, better looking than a Datto ute. Quote
towe001 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Love this one That one makes me think of the video clip my brother showed me. Quote

7shades Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Being in the tropics, I find rusty old cars like that amazing. Up here, they don't just develop a patina... They literally turn into rust coloured mud. Leave a car stationary for more than 6 months and its irreperably destroyed, no chance of ever seeing the road again. Even cars only a few years old. Quote
TOM Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) Being in the tropics, I find rusty old cars like that amazing. Up here, they don't just develop a patina... Uncle Shady has a good point - here in SA we have some incredibly dry wreckers where scorching UV rays are the main issue, but many shells survive...albeit with badly sun-damaged interiors and plastics. Some of the cars myself and Tally have posted (from a particular yard here in SA pages 14, 15 i think) have been there over 30 years and are perfectly salvageable for restoration - once you remove the 30 years of moss growing on them! The Stout ute in my av is the perfect bloody example of this - despite missing the rear section of the chassis and lots of other stuff, the shell and bosy are in awesome condition...I want to buy it as a garden ornament  Edited February 7, 2011 by TOM Quote
7shades Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 That's exactly right... One of the things people (well, car people) notice when they come up here is how relatively new the cars are... Its not because we have more money, its more likely our old car rusted in half :P Quote
Tally Posted February 7, 2011 Author Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) I love finding rusty relics, find it really enjoyable. when I'm driving around town and surrounding suburbs I'm always looking for old cars. and when I'm far out in the bush I'm always looking for old cars in paddocks and the likes. Just the excitement of finding a unique car, that always has a story to go with it about how it ended up where it is. and when I'm not out looking for them, I'm looking for them on the internet :P Edited February 7, 2011 by Tally Quote
Tally Posted February 7, 2011 Author Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) I'm sure some of you guys havnt seen a KE25 like this before ;) (note: bumpers are not original) Edited February 7, 2011 by Tally Quote
cinky Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 i swear rolla's came from factory with wooden chassis stands as a standard accessory. as they all seem to be mounted on them at some stage of there life Quote
