Super Jamie Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 sweet, very nice car, sensible mods and no rice to be seen whatsover (except maybe the red engine bay bits :S). you should be proud of yourself! now get some cams :wootjump: Quote
Jason Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 very clean, like the eyelids or what ever you call them Quote
Super Jamie Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 ahh, i thought something looked different with the headlights hey, last time i drove an ae112 (standard conquest), it got real floaty up about 190km/h, probably because the whole car is shaped like a wing and the front was picking up. i was wondering if the levin front lip added a bit of much needed stability? Medicine_Man Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 looks very tastefully done, i like it :S Quote
Teddy Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 they are the best _ new school corolla out there. That is one fine example. Yum Yum! 7afe - correct :S! - ALL you need now is a 4age head and ull be flying :wootjump: ! Quote
TOMsGPTurbo Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Welcome to the club :S The 7AFE really looks like a 5EFE! soon as I saw it 4e came to mind when I saw those spark plug tops! (thanks for posting that as I need some newies to get under my interheater) Quote
Teddy Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 i was actually looking underneath one of these the other day on a hoist at work... How can i make it RWD. Custom Fuel tank, Front wheel setup onto rear, get some custom work happening :S Ahhh the levin version has a smick inside :wootjump:. The new corolla is such a bitter disopointment, considering the sports evo and alota them are made in South Africa... :) Quote
ancullen Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 It's a real bummer that we miss out on the 3-door Sportivo version. That'd be prod buttock! We also missed out on the 3-door AE112 version too. Man we miss out on a lot! As for the 7A-FE, ditch the head, get one off a 4A-GE. Or you could use the head from a 20v (with a Porsche 944 timing belt). Or you could do a turbo setup like the one on the AE112 Sportivo. Or you could combine the turbo setup with either the 4A-GE 16v or 20v head. Really you've got quite a few options. If you do the turbo setup like the Sportivo, I'd go a bigger turbo, as the Sportivo (only 100 built) only made 115kW. And really, whichever option you go with, I'd ditch the 7A-FE head, as the G head is the awesome way to go. Quote
kEzrolla Posted April 14, 2005 Author Report Posted April 14, 2005 hey guys, thanks for all the comments! yeh.. the car definately needs more gutts! id love to go a 20v 4age, just for a bit of extra punch.. has anyone replaced the f series engine head with the g series? ive heard of it being done etc, but i havnt actually heard from anyone the exact procedure needed, costs, reliability, reliable mechanic etc.? I'm tempted to steer clear of the 7afe turbs idea.. there was a 7a-fe turbo kit i found in america.. but i still want a reliable daily driver.. without too much messing around.. its always been a dream.. but u know how reality is.. yeh the levin interior is much much nicer.. i just retrimed the front seats to black leather with red stiching to try match up with everything else.. still gotta get the door inserts changed etc.. etc.. if anyone has any valuable info on a Ghead swap.. let me know I'm from Melbourne.. Mr Revhead[RL] Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 i know a guy whos done a few 7ages, he can do it in a day. as in drive in drive out. basiclly bolt off the old head, and bolt on the new one. hardest part would be the wiring, but use an aftermarket ecu and itd be easy. oh btw, thats not a REAL levin! kEzrolla Posted April 15, 2005 Author Report Posted April 15, 2005 its a real levin of its time.. haha.. too bad they didnt keep with the old traditions.. Quote
Sambo Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Hey - I've just bought an AE112R Levin and I absolutely love it. Had a AE92 Seca before that for 8 years. Both just standard as I'm a tightarse accountant who won't spend money on modifications, but love checking out other people's. Keep us updated on your hot rolla! :hmm: Quote
