Roo's right on with the rims.

 

With an 80's corolla you will probably get better attention with a nice set of 14 or 15" rims than some oversized, overweight, 16+ wheels.

 

Just hang off for a bit longer and save some coin. The price for import rims will fall when the dollar picks up. I previously got a pair of 15x8.5 ssr mesh from Japland to my door for $430.

 

Big rims don't work on little cars and little wheel arches IMO. Sure on a bigger car they work, but yeah, stay <15" :dance:

 

And good move on the engine though. Should be good when it is in.

spewin bout the defect! haha u aint serial bout the 19-20" i hope. i say go chrome bumpers n some nice oldschool jdm wheels. i would think by the time u buy those five spokes n tyres for them u'd spent asmuch as u woulda buying some second hand jap wheels with good rubber. imo. that aside i can't wait to see this thing all done! sounds the goods so far.

gotta admit, not exactly to my taste mate, but i think that's just your chromies dragging you down. I love the colour purple though, especially when paired with black, looks the absolute tits.

 

I'd do it for you in Photoshop, but i no longer have my dodgy cracked version, but if someone on here would be kind enough, photochop some black watanabe's on that bad boy. Would look gnarly with the purple paint. But good to see you're now returning to the land of the wheel-wise, haha.

ah yeah .... would think that black wheels look gaaaaaahey on such a dark car but any ways... each to there own !

 

i like big rims and thats all that matters ...

 

and like i said before ther just for show i have 14s on it at the moment

na bit of head work and forged internals

bigger valves mild port , standard cams , lightened flywheel , heavy duty clutch , basically every thing is standard but EVERYthing has been replaced .. oil pump water pump water inlets etc rebuilt dizzy etc

 

looking at getting some bigger injectors , than decent cams and later an aftermarket ecu ... and way way down the track turbs

Id get cams injectors and ecu all at same time, will be shit with putting in cams and injectors with no aftermarket ecu
