Did you use a new front windscreen rubber? Trying to source one for mine at the moment, Phils Rotarys or an eBay job out of Thailand seem to be the only options at the moment.

I'm of the understanding that there is a specific windscreen rubber for KE36/38 so a sedan/coupe rubber won't do the job.

Cheers,

Sam.

Hey sam,

We just used a good windscreen rubber out of a ke55 sedan from Pinch-a-part in Campbellfield.

You don't have to search ebay sellers for a rubber, you just gotta find a decent one with no cracks or splits from a ke30-55 in a wreckers yard, and try and get it out in one piece without spliting it.

Ryan is right - any ke30-55 corolla windscreen rubbers are the same, except the ke35 and ke55 hardtops.

Cheers

Woz.

  • 3 weeks later...

Today we went to the TCCAV Preston meet, and it was really really good. Had a chat to a few people, and also might have another rocket lined up for Joel (Josh's brother). :)

Yesterday, because it was a really nice day, we rolled out Ollie, and gave her a much needed and long awaited Wash, Cut & Polish, and Wax. We also used Swirl Remover to make it look better. :D

We'll just let the following pics do the talking. ;)

We might be attending the next Vic Cruise in Ollie when we finish the interior. We'll just throw on a Permit for the day, and then Wow some people. :)

It was good seeing you guys today, and the finish on the pannel van looks fantastic. Such an awesome build indeed, its a must for this to attend the next meet/cruise :)

Cheers Ben. :y: I couldn't be happier with the finish. Just looks really awesome. :)

It will only go on the next meet/cruise whenever the Interior is finished (door/window cards, carpet, seats, etc.) which might be a little while. I'd say the 3rd or 4th meet/cruise after the next one. :)

Didn't ya see the Blue VT Wagon with the 'EWT' Plates and those big Yellow "Lunatic" Plates on the windows? :D

We'll probably go to the next one, pending on where it is. If we do go, we will be in the EWT Wagon, maybe with the L-Plates up as well. :)

I really do appreciate Dad's help and efforts into this little beast. We keep saying to ourselves: "She's not bad for a couple of Amateurs". We also say that this is only a First car. It's not meant to be all perfect and straight, but we like it as to what we've both done and achieved.

My apologies for not getting to say g'day to you guys, I rolled up a wee bit late & still half asleep. :blinks:

Car looks sweet in the new pics, the blinding glare off the chrome bumper, arrgh! :P

Ahahahaha. We left at 10.30 cause we had to go to Church over in Glenroy. :)

Cheers,

Josh
