What are your experiences with Go Kart Tracks in QLD?

 

So far, Ipswich Karts is the one that we always go to.

 

That kart track up north (near Australia Zoo) was shit... Fook (I think it was) was almost taken out by someone who did a tricycle conversion whilst moving.

 

What are some of the other tracks you've been to, and what were they like?

The Big Kart track up the Sunshine Coast is a nice sized track, but the karts are a little slow..

Kingston park raceway in Kingston on southside has Uber fast carts, and at night they open up both tracks to make 1 BIG track. Track is smooth, and fast. Id go there again; but i think they are costly.

i hear lismore karts are pretty good if you all want to make a road trip :)

Big Kart karts are soooo slow. And so badly maintained, we were there for maybe 2 hours or so, and I saw 2 karts lose a wheel. One of the said wheels, I still have the mark on the top of my helmet where it went over my head. Not so happy Jan. And it wasn't even like the guys looked surprised that the wheel fell off, they kinda went *shrug* and whipped out another kart.

 

So far I like the Ipswich karts, and I like the Ipswich track. Living near here makes me biased too :)

 

BTW, I haven't actually been to any other go kart tracks.

i'd like to try out the kingston park one teddy mentioned.....

 

next rollaclub gokart day outing.

 

i'm also boycotting ipswich karts, the dude that was there accused me of breaking the wheel on the no 10 kart, because i was also going over the ripple strips....which i wasnt..

I own my own karts and race them so ne thing else is way too slow for me lol

the ipswich track has now moved to the carpark of queensland raceway as the old circuit is being used for comps only now. yeah sunny coast karts are crap you can stay flat out the whole lap. but kingston park is the go apparently

Has anyone tried kingston park raceway?

 

Theyve go 3 tracks as far as I know and some powerful karts available.

i think MSI has the best track, its a fast circuit with undulating terrain, and is located out near oremau. heaps good fun.

I'm actually in a bit of strife there at the moment for a few things... like nocking the motor clean of my next door neighbours kart, abuse of tires, and speeding in pit lane.. all good fun though. check the website!.

Thats actually quite reasonable.. more than the ipswitch place.. and dam the track looks quite 'socially acceptiable :D '
