Brake upgrade looks good man, could you possibly do a tech thread on them? very interested in how they turn out. Wagon looks good with the window tint also, will you be able to run your current rims with the larger brake setup?

cheers Crowie.

Yea mate. Will do a repost here on RC as there is a massive tech thread on TM. Will shortly be building a Corona/Peugeot/Hilux brake upgrade for another member. Will take pics along the way and do a write up.

Yep. With the upgrade I'm going with, all will fit under 14" wheels. The Setup I'm building shortly requires 15" minimum.

have you actually looked at it? with a rolla joint next to you?

No, i havent. But its gonna work.

Thanks Tom.

Chucked the new jets in earlier. Definatly made a difference.

Went from 70/160 mains to 160/175's and from 140/140 air correction to 140/150.

Alot smoother and can definatly feel the cam come on. Seems to lack a bit of torque down low that it used to have.

Also going to put my points dizzy back in.

Bought the jets from Kent Town Automotive.

Going back to points because ever since i put this leccy one in i've had flat spots, where the engine stutters for a bit.

Not saying its definatly the dizzy, but its not going to cost me anything to have crack at it.

Immmmmmpressive!!!

I just read the last three pages and found nothing but cool upgrades and cruising - no breakages!!!!

Looking good mate.

Cheers,

Jason

Your dizzy needs a recurve as its not suited to the cam/carb combination.

Get that sorted and slap it back in and you'll notice a shitload more of a difference than you have done just by replacing the jets in the Weber.

Thanks Jason. Glad to not have had any issues lately. Touchwood.

Looking at upgrading the diff to an S series. They're 15mm wider than the U series so I'm gonna need some flares if i go down that track. :hmm:

Put the points back in for now. can't really do without the car at the moment so when i can, it'll go and get recurved. Points or Elec doesnt really make a difference as I'm running the MSD.

Venturis had a bit of slop where they slid into the carb. Peened over the end as shown by John at Kent Town Automotive.

Slid them back in, Bloody Puuurfect!
