I have now removed the rubber stripes from all around the car, in readiness for painting the front end white.

Uncle Shady's tip for the day... To remove unsightly residue from bump strip adhesive, spray with WD40 and leave for a few minutes. Scrape off with a plastic blade.

Ok, i just softened it with kero, scraped it off with a brand new stanley blade as not to scratch it (cabinetmakers trick), and then buffed it off with wet and dry. there were a couple of spots that i touched up but not much really.

 

Just heard from Terry (mungi mods) that the other 2 wheels will be good to go by this weekend.

 

Woot. i think he might come over and flare gaurds and fix more rust too! Champion!

 

Also might strip down the w57 and see if anything needs doing and put the brass shifter kit into it.
