irokin Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 Yeah I'm thinking to bite the bullet and just swap the whole axle out of an ae86 in. I know plenty of people with experience in this swap and then i also get rear disc brakes and an lsd centres are available for it as well are you still running 4x110 or have you converted to 4x114.3 Thats the only oversight I can think of. Corolla_Kid Posted June 30, 2005 Author Report Posted June 30, 2005 I'm a bit confused with the above post what are you referring to? Quote
Redwarf Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 If you have a pure unadulterated KE20, the wheel studs will be 4x110 (Mazda RWD) pattern. All Corollas KE30 and newer (including AE86) have 4x114.3 pattern. Hence your current wheels wont fit. Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted July 1, 2005 Author Report Posted July 1, 2005 oh right yeah ive got straight ke20 wheel stud pattern at the moment Quote
blown 5k Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 Sounds to me like you need a set of U code ke2x series axles with a ke70 3.9 in it then buy TRD`s 5.1 trd lsd minus the 5.1 ratio(if he`s prepared to separate) then you`ll have same wheel stud pattern as std a stronger 6" set of final drive gears and a competition lsd centre on your 3.9.This setup takes a lot of punishment and keeps the car std and is very easy to do all bolt ups. :P Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted July 3, 2005 Author Report Posted July 3, 2005 yeah mate thats exactly it how much $$$$$ will this trd diff set me back? Quote
