You're more than welcome anytime mate.

Was intending on polishing and givving the interior a good once over today but this god damn downpour of rain dirtied my freshly washed car. TWICE! Maybe if we get some better weather later on in the weekend.

Please tell me you parked undercover. The hailstones in FTG wrote off my brothers car. VR Commy even Smashing the windscreen!. Can't imagine what the hail stones would be like on a corolla.

Unfortunately i was at a mates house with no garage or car port. But the hailstones in my area were more the size of a Cool overrated and Graham was fine. Remember this is classic Toyota metal :P

Looks great Matt, nice that you have it all sorted.

I bet you are enjoying driving it ! How does it pull compared to the 7k ?

Thanks mate. It's quite fun to drive and pulls great up high in the rev range. The only drawback to the 7K is that there is no torque in comparison and you really have to have it in the right gear. I found this out on the cruise on Sunday while going up a long drawn out hill!

Also on the cruise on Sunday the bottom radiator hose decided to expand and settle in as such and have the alternator fins chew through it. Managed to get some cable ties off BlindKidSeeks (andy) and move it away to get me home. Problem is sorted now as i fitted a shorter belt and got a new hose with adjusted position :no2:

After the cruise on Friday Graham was really dirty, so he got a wash then a nice polish.

More progress guys!

All the suspension gear is now in as well as a whiteline swaybar :lolcry: Looks really good under the car now as i have cleaned up all the bolts, painted the caster rod brackets and caster rods and polished up some bits and pieces.

Also got the carbies back today as well as a complete VRS kit. Peter from Thornbury Carburettors completely went through them start to finish and was great to deal with. If all goes well the car should be on the road tomorrow! >|

wind those caster arms forward.

Haha. Nah mate all i wanted to do was tighten up the front end as it is a daily now. Not really interested in sacrificing the easy to drive factor for the sake of high speed stability.

UPDATE

New gearnob and steering wheel are in. You guys should find these tasty when i upload some pics.

Got some work done on Graham today after driving him around for the past couple of weeks. I ordered new flexible brake pipes for the front along with wheel bearings and seals and got some time to fit all these this afternoon.

As everything was off i took the time to machine the discs as well. I have some crappy phone pics for you guys to see and hopefully some better quality shots over the easter weekend.

Matt.

Re-did the chrome strips in the front and rear windscreens today. looks much better even though the old ones weren't that bad.

Also gave him a good detail so that I could take some decent shots of Graham for you guys as promised

Sort of an update guys.

Two weeks ago my starter motor packed it in so i removed it and had it rebuilt. While doing this i noticed coolant leaks from the head (head gasket). Thus, last night me and the old man burnt the midnight oil and ripped the head off that luckily wasn't warped or showing any signs of excessive wear/damage. After a quick cleanup of the head and the block we wacked a new head gasket on it. All signs point to good now as i went on a cruise to Phillip Island today and it ran faultlessly with no leaks or issues.
