20 is now sold and the KE11 will take over my life :hmm:

 

Current Plans

 

- Put battery back in the engine bay

- Pea shooter exhaust

- Wattle Yellow the steelies

- New tires

- Walls or possibly 12 inch flappers

- 1 inch lower in the rear

- Discs for the front

- KE20 front spring conversion

Yep me too. Welcome to Club 11. :hmm:

 

Spotted your old fanta 20 last night down near Henley Beach Surf Club. Good to see new owner getting around in it.

 

Will be interested to see what this looks like with colour coded rims. I'd go walls not flappers, but only cos i was planning to put flappers on mine just so mine is slightly more different from all the others getting around :y:

Colour coded steelies are what I always thought would look cool on a 'non-white' KE1#. Also whitewalls will be the go as you can't get 12" flappers from what I've found.

 

If you're going 1" lower in the rear I hope you're lowering the front too haha

 

What happened to the venetians in this?

 

Plans sound good man, glad you ended up with this hey.

lukes dropping the venitians round some time, yes you can get 12inch flappers ben. just gotta now the source :hmm:

 

yes of course the front will come down, the rears are aslready reset slightly i am told.

 

battery is now sitting back in the engine bay, can't get this thing to idle right though... idles to high, then low. then will almost stall when pulling up... sigh

Yep, 12inch flappers are no probs to get from John, right through to 15inch.

 

Yeh you may be right Ben, colour coded steelies might be the way to go on a non-white car........ I am intrigued and will await this development patiently. :y:

 

Good luck sorting the idling Nick. Small issue in the overall picture. If you can't get it worked out just jam a big block in there. :hmm:

Depends on what flappers you like, the atlas ones from antique tyres look better (personal taste really), really depends on the tyre sidewall.

 

Should come up nice, will be keeping tabs onthis.

mmk, cleaned the venitian then re sprayed it white and is now in.

 

primed the wheels, just need to get some wattle yellow made up now

 

new tires going on today. falken 165/60r12 so walls will soon follow

 

and hopefully ke20 springs to be in the front soooonish.

Good to see this in the hands of another rolla freak.

 

Just curious. what ke20 springs are you intending to use? standard or after market? Is the leaf spring still in?

I think you'll find it wont get much lower, in fact it may raise the height...

he's probably talking strut top conversion I'm guessing scotty.

 

nickboy if you want my other set of spring spacers to do the conversion, the going rate is a 6 Pack.

 

I've got a mate running no leaf and a set of chopped king superlows from a ke20 and that's pretty low. That's without KE20 strut tops. Pretty stiff.
