dopedx Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Hey guys and gurls. Have been on here for awhile posting here and there but never really uploded any infomation on what i have in my garage. Thought it was about time I should share. Let me know what you think. Its a 2 owner 1980 ke70 dx corolla Nz New and is factory twin headlight. It only has 135ks on the clock and the paint it mostly original. Has had all rust cut out and has a 4k which has had a fresh rebuild and twin carbs added. It actually goes suprisingly well for a 4k and 4speed. Its lowered 3 1/2 - 4 inchs and has 15inch celica/supra alloys on it. Standard interior except for a woodgrain steering wheel and center console. Nothing too extreme with massive offset a or crazy quick motor but I'm happy with it and i think i have achieved a clean modifyed look which doesnt draw too much unwanted attention. :D Cheers Sam [attachm ent=55847:6.jpg] Edited May 23, 2010 by dopedx Quote
xmoht Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Looking Great Handi.....An original toyota colour with a pearl will give you a pretty nice and original finish. I've painted mine 74' white with a white pearl. The 74' white has a tinge of green which shows in the pearl. Keep the updates coming. Dayum! :D Very tasteful interior! Did the chrome bumpers come factory as well as the lights? Quote
Marko Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 very nice car man, how i want mine to look :D Quote
Chobis Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Now that is a KE70 I would own. Well done mate! Quote
dopedx Posted May 23, 2010 Author Report Posted May 23, 2010 Cheers for the positive feedback guys. Would of been nice to get some clean pics but as you can see I don't live in town and with a gravel drive its a prick to always keep clean. xmoht..... yip lights and bumpers came factory on it. Also alot of people ask if the aircleaner design is factory but its not, its my take at a little jdm styling.. :D Quote
Jono.C Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Very nice :D like ma61's being black with the polished lip :( Quote
seabiscuit Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Very nice car mate. Shame you can't keep it clean very often. Aren't the rims 14" (not 15") MA61's? I like the twin carb air box. Is that from the early KE sprinters? Quote
Dropz Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 i believe the 15" ones are off of soarers and have a shit fitment (15X6 or 6.5 +20 if i'm not mistaken) the MA61 wheels fit better and are 14x7 +8 Quote
Karllos Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Good to see more decent Kesevs around the place, not the biggest fan of all the drift style only place for it is the track car. Otherwise awesome car! Karl. Quote
dopedx Posted May 23, 2010 Author Report Posted May 23, 2010 The wheels are 15s. They are 15by6 I'm pretty sure running 195/45/15 tyres. i prefered them to the 14s as they don't rub where the 14s did with the tyres i had and i didnt want to touch the gaurds just yet. They have less dish and are more flatter. Each to their own i guess plus i got them for a really decent price. Quote
Dropz Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 yeah fair enough. my ma61s have 175s stretched onto them so rubbing wasnt an issue :D Quote
