5KV Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 Hi all, I'm new here and I have some questions. I want to put a 2JZ engine on my KE-70 liftback is it possible? and what modifications I need to do. Appreciate your suggestions and comments. Quote
Evan G Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 have you researched about it? measured a 2jz and the engine bay of your ke70? sure anything can be done with a hammer :blinks: Quote
Redwarf Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 Gday, and welcome to rollaclub. A couple of handy hints for you so that you time here will be well spent. Search and you shall seek. Many topics have been covered before. The rides and projects threads are a wealth of knowledge, and if it's not covered somewhere in there, then it probably can't be done. Try putting more info into you post. We can make many different suggestions, but if you only have $300, not many of them will be practical. You have to keep in mind that we get asked very opened ended questions like yours about once a day at the moment, so if you don't have a think about the questions you ask, you're not going to get answers you're happy with. white_sandshoe Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Another thing I think should become a rule... 'A Tape Measure Tells All...' a quick measure of a 2JZ and then a quick measure of a KE70 engine bay will reveal some great and marvelous things... Such as how much of the fire wall will need to be cut out, wich sump arrangement will need to be used, and weather or not the bonnet will need an awesome power bulge to clear the engine... The tape measure will answer that question almost as good as someone who's actually done the conversion, and in some cases, better than... Quote
