yeah i had a crash a fair while back and i just couldnt source the original spear headed one so had to opt for this one, if one comes up for cheap in perth area i might change it back to original but atm ive got more rolla things to spend my money on :)

so i got back from europe and spent the last few days getting the new enigne in.

 

specs are as follows:

gilmer belt drive

fairly fresh 4k

elec dizzy

32/36 weber

extractors into a 1 3/4' exhaust

 

only had a few problems with the engine, had to replace most seals as the guy before had used a shit red silicone thing that just didnt work meaning i hah leaks from the water pump, replaced all seals there new fuel pump and and more new goodies like started motor, alternator etc.

 

dizzy was 180 out so when we put it in properly it fired first go.

 

put it in the car had problems tuning the weber so put the original asian carb back on.

 

the gilmers sound so crazy, I'm a p-plater so for the moment I'm allowed the wank factor of one haha.

 

ill let some pics do the talking.

 

 

next up on the list is to clean the bay of all the aids looking wiring :blush:

 

got new carpet coming in for it so it can sprt a fully sick ulleh sound system, no cutting of the door cards or the sort, and deck in glove box.

 

looking for a front lip aswell so if anyone knows of one :)

gear knob is just a golf ball that way laying around the workshop, had the new gearbox in and needed a shifter, drilled a hole in the ball and its been there for the past 3ish years ive driven it haah.

gilmers are staying, but once the p-plates are off i think ill sell them on, need more cash for other mods :)
