I've always wanted to know, If someones pushed a K series motor to its ABSOLUTE limit, and what they got out of it?

Interesting....

guy that does speedway near my work said his 3k revs out to 11 grand and puts out 100hp. (apparently 2 inch piston skirts)

i didn't see it so I'm skeptical :hmm:

30..... maybe 40 rwkw?

Seriously I'd guess 150-200kw if you spent lots and lots of time and money on it. (but as my sig states, it's just mere speculation).

My 7k was worked and has twin SUs and only makes 58rwkw

have a read around about "TRD ke70" and "TRD" 's old rally ke70 with their k motor.

160odd HP apparently. i think its on youtube under "ke70 TRD" or something.

When I was at Tighe Engineering picking up my cam last year, they did have a car magazine strategically placed by the counter. Can't remember which mag but there was an article on a yellow turboed 3k ke20/30 2 door claimed to be putting down 200+HP. I should go back there to just steal that magazine and scan the arse off it!!!

Now I'm not one to just dribble shit... so believe it or not....

Saw some dyno sheets from the first link posted of 5ktc and supercharged 5k's making 100kw+

I keep forgeting to post in that thread but I'll wait till the new setup is done.

My first setup was very mild 5k with twin su's made 48rwkw. The first tune on the blown setup was about 96rwkw. Then last tune on a hotter day was 104rwkw with more timing at same boost(9psi) it does have a huge blower cam though. New roller bearing turbo setup should make huge power for a "k" motor. But I'll have rods, custom pistons, head studs and a cyl head that I've spent weeks on the chamber design(and just about to cut in works pantograph copy mill) then goes off for for a almost $2k port and fix up sesion. For anyone off the street it would probably cost about $6,500-7000 just for the engine alone. Which I won't be paying as I work in the industry.

Big controlled compression plus high flow equals high end power!..... You'll probably kick the 150kw mark, making my previous statement concievable.
