Fayt Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Hi everyone, this is just a topic for people giving me their opinions about these wheels, do you think they would look better on my KE10 than the jellybeans? My current wheels are 13"x5.5 These wheels are 14"x6, do you think they would look better? my car is in my signature :hmm: What's your opinion? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 For me personally, globe wheels are one of my favourite wheels, and I think they would look sweet!! Quote
NickAE86 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 i like them :hmm: a friend of mine has a set on his ke25 and they look overrated...suits rollas nicely imo Quote
love ke70 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 (edited) i think the jellybeans look alot phat-er and hence i much prefer the jellybeans. i think the car looks alot meaner with the jelly beans Edited November 29, 2005 by love ke70 Quote
Super Jamie Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 i think 14s on a ke10 look too big, but that's just me globes and jellybeans are two old styles of wheel that go well on these cars, i don't have a personal preference for either, i think they would both look quite wicked :hmm: Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 That B45 pic says 16 x 14!!! jesus Quote
Nitephyre Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 /me humps Simmons wheels. one day, I WILL own a set. Quote
Felix Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 i don't mind the jelly beans. the globes would look better on a ke35, with it's more angular styling. Quote
Fayt Posted November 29, 2005 Author Report Posted November 29, 2005 thanks for the replys guys count so far: YES: 2 No preference: 1 NO: 2 :D Okay so would you think spending $285 for a set of four would be worthit (keeping in mind i could always sell the 'jellybeans') but also getting new tyres. the pic of the wheel is actually the set for sale Would bigger be better? would the black wheels look good with the white '10? You can buy Bathurst Globes brand new here... well they call them Simmons B45 Pics : ohhh, did you have to show the pic of the globes/simmons, it makes the the black ones look shit... :hmm: Quote
sprntasl Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Red KE15 with white Globe 13 x 6 wheels Colour of wheels for white car - black, white or basic metal finish is your choice. Size - I don't think 14 x 6 suits KE1X series - looks like a tiny car on steam roller wheels. Quote
demuire Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I agree with doug, I think the jellybeans suit the KE1x better. Quote
ancullen Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 The jellybeans look sweet due to the natural dish they have. The Simmons need more offset. And I have to disagree with sprinasl, that car needs the extra inch of diameter of the 14's, but definitely no bigger. Quote
Fayt Posted December 1, 2005 Author Report Posted December 1, 2005 (edited) ok thanks I'm probably not gonna get them hence the fact there is nothing wrong with the jellys do you think 13x7 would be good, or is that a bit too wide I'm definately thinking about putting wider wheels on it once the tires on my 10 wear down, but what do you think would be better, 6's or 7's Edited December 1, 2005 by Fayt Quote
demuire Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 (edited) Based on the fact that 7" wheels are even a bit wide on a KE3x, I would think that 7" wheels would be rather wide on a KE1x. For a start, you wouldn't want to put anything smaller than a 185 tyre on a 7" rim, in fact a 195 would probably be about the smallest recommended size for a 7" rim... Big wide tyres on small light car, + water, is not a good thing. Unless it's a drag car, I probably wouldn't go any wider than maybe 6.5". In fact I'd probably stick with 6". Felix Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 by law in queensland, the max rim width on a ke1x is 6". no idea what it is though in tasmania. Quote
