A few months ago the 2jz bottom end let go in scotts OKE020, last i heard he was building another 2jz to go in it.

Lasted a long time and big power on a stock bottom end.

The entire engine was fully built with high-end parts, stock crank yes, stock block yes. don't believe all the BS.

What are you getting at? All i said was the bottom end let go (stock crank and ACL cast bearings).

That was the weak point, and it did well to hold up with the power it made for so long. Whats the BS?

Hi fellas thanks for the update on where OKE020 is at ,but we really can do without the way some of you blokes get a bit carried away at the end of the day what ever the build of the engine was it done a bloody great job and put the little rolla way up there with the best of them,a job well done and we can only hope he comes back even better.All the best to OKE020 and hope to see those times back on top in class :y: .

What is your opinion on a "stock bottom end" man?

Mine, it is a stock crank, and equivalent to stock cast bearings. Not talking about pistons or rods or modified oil pump or anything else. I am referring to the crank, bearings and thrust washers.

It is an equivalent stock bottom end.

Don't you mean cast main cap failure was what caused it?

Standard OEM Toyota cranks have proven reliable at 2,000hp just got to hold it in place.
