Guys,

I'm in the process of building my ke11 coupe and need to know the original track width front and back of the car. .The original wheels and original suspension are needed to be fitted. This is measured from the centre of one wheel to the centre of the other. The reason I need this is because if you change wheels and gyres etc. you need to keep the track width within 25mm overall of the original. (STUPID NSW REGULATIONS).

 

At the moment I have front measurement at 1270mm and rear 1225mm, can anybody confirm this???

Looking in the owners manual, General Specifications, they list:

 

Wheelbas. 2285mm

 

Tread. Front 1230mm

Rear 1220mm

 

 

I presume tread means track?

 

Edit: Sorry meant track not wheelbase.

Did anyone manage to find a wider recorded track measurement?

 

I measured mine stock and with my 13x7 0's

 

Stock - 1240mm

13x7's - 1320mm..

 

So i'm going to need a miracle or a different factory track width to try and argue with..

How would the popo know that the standard track is 1240mm?

The popo don't.. they just assume it's over when 3/4" of the wheel is outside the guard..

In that case Jono I don't think they'd worry about the track more so the legalities of the wheel outside the guard.
