Corolla Project Percentage

I was just thinking about the amount of corolla projects that start off with all these big plans and never get finished.

I would think it would be at least 50% haha

KE70's I'd say maybe 3%. Well they may get finished but they might go through 10 different people before they do.

I think the GFC really hit projects hard, a lot of people had to sell their toys. I know I struggle to work on mine. If it wasnt my daily it would be long gone.

(Life pro tip : make your project your daily. Missus can't complain when you need to 'fix' it. )

Usually just loss or interest, no time to do it or people discover how much more expensive it will be than they thought

Probably more like 95%. Most people don't realise just how much money it takes. Hell I'll probably but finish my ke26 but I'll give it a red hot go!!!

Also people change there minds about what they want to do, and they see other cars and want to do similar,

 

One thing I learnt is that things are easier if you know where to go and what you want done

Wait wait wait... are we defining the percentage of FINISHED or UNFINISHED?

 

To me it looks like Reed and Luke are agreeing but have quoted numbers on completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

More importantly, when is a project ever 'finished'? I know that no matter what stage my car gets to I'll ALWAYS be changing things.

Mines getting close to being finished now. I think people just get over all the hassles. I've been loving it, I'm not doing everything myself but everyday I'm learning and having more and more fun. It's awesome
