T50 Behind 4Agze

Hey all I'm looking for some help!

 

I have a 4agze in my ke70 with a k50 box behind it.

The k50 is about to **** itself making all kinds of noises.

So I am wanting to upgrade to a t50.

 

I have a couple of questions about this conversion:

 

What number of splines would my t50 need to have, to sit behind my 4agze without modifacation? (As i don't want to gaft/swap splines)

 

What clutch would be best suited to use? (Ive heard celica but what series?)

Correct.

Funnily enough, a 4agze is harsher on a gearbox than a turbo 4age..... due to the supercharger providing torque in a much more brutal and instant fashion.

Turbos apply torque a little more progressively by contrast.

 

Get a W55/57/58 box.

Get 4ag to W5x bellhousing.

Get custom tailshaft.

Listen to LittleRed. W55's have very similar ratios to T50's. I did count the splines on mine ages ago but can't remember, think it was 21 but they use a few different sizes of input shaft so you can measure it up and ask whoever you're getting your clutch from to sort you out there.
