Jono.C Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 Plus then you'll just smash the mount off the diff Quote
Willis Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 Yeah coilovers in the rear are a bitch. Guy I know did S13 rears in his AE86. The amount of fab work done was insane. Quote
RhysE Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 I'm hoping to run a t series diff so that mount would be strong enough wouldn't it? Okay so to reinforce it could I put like a strut brace kind of design in my boot?? Has any body got pictures of set ups or anything?? I'm pretty keen to do it Quote
Jono.C Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 Nope, T series is the same mount wise Quote
RED16V Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Once ae86 struts are in do they really give you that much more positive camber ? Quote
styler Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 (edited) The ae86 swap is known to add to this issue, so camber tops are needed to adjust the camber back to factory or further to zero or - 1 deg if you have enough space inside the tower... Not much chance with factory springs, need to convert to smaller OD coilover springs. Edited May 9, 2013 by styler Quote
RhysE Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 I'm now running bc racing ae86 coilovers all round in my ke70 with ae86 front LCAS and other necessary parts and the rears are like spring perches. But overall I'm happy with the current setup Quote

Yoshi63 Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Someone can tell me if this AE86 kit will fit on KE70 : http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/615167Capture.jpg I think it will, because the rear is not coil but a separate spring. I just read I need AE86 front brake with AE86 coil, I just don't understand why ? Thanks for your answer Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 They'll fit, you'll need hubs, rotors, brakes and brake mount, dust cover, AE86 steering arms. The camber top may not fit, you might need to drill your top hat holes out a bit. Quote
Yoshi63 Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Ok thanks for your answer. It's not possible to modify KE70 hubs to fit on these coil and keep KE70 braking system ? I think it will be hard to find all these AE86 parts in my country ... Edited January 19, 2014 by Yoshi63 Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 No, KE70 brakes wont fit. You will definitely need the hubs but you can buy aftermarket brake kits. Quote
