altezzaclub Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Get an LED bulb if you can, use it to test if your injectors are pulsing. Now THAT is sharp! If it works let us know. Quote
gt500biatch Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 getting mates multimeter 2night when he finishes work ill use that :) as for now i am still lost hahaha. just like a woman, can't live without em can't live with em :( hahaha will update as soon as i get the multimeter :) Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Now THAT is sharp! If it works let us know. Worked when I checked mine. Till the cheap shit LED blew. Quote
Stenzel Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Worked when I checked mine. Till the cheap shit LED blew. that way is just a cheaper version of a node light. Quote
altezzaclub Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Nice idea. The multimeter is too slow to respond to fast impulses, so it either doesn't read or gives a low reading. I want an oscilloscope! Quote
gt500biatch Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 ok guys, checked it all the wiring etc is fine, everything is pusling, however, when i took out 1 injector the rail had fuel in it, i tried starting without 1 injector plugged in and it started. so I'm thinking there is something blocked so its not getting pressure, as with the injector out it had ambi pressure.... Quote
gt500biatch Posted January 20, 2013 Author Report Posted January 20, 2013 iv checked other forums, some that have this problem havnt got it fixed, even mechanics have failed... :( wtf is wrong :'( Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Have you fitted a fuel filter yet? Is there a steel line pinched half shut under the car? Regs always honk when they are coming up to pressure. Keen to know the result of the light test on injectors. Quote

Just go over this again for me- You took out one injector, and fuel came out of the rail?? How was "without one injector plugged in" not plugged in?? The injector was in the rail and in the manifold, but not wired up? or the injector was not in the rail and you caught the fuel? "with the injector out it had ambi pressure...." refers to the fuel rail not building up pressure or somethng else? How long did it run for and on how many cylinders?? Its not quite clear enough to decide if it is injecting fuel or not. Quote
gt500biatch Posted January 20, 2013 Author Report Posted January 20, 2013 yeh injectors are fine. i looked for a kinked line, nothing :( and nah didnt manage to get a fuel filter as the slut wont start :( hahaha i checked the rail, there is fuel there the injectors are working so the fuel is getting past the injectors and then i don't know :( unless there is low pressure in the rail therefore the injectors arent pushing fuel through.... and yeh i just pulled out the 1 injector and there was fuel so we decided to start it without 1 injector and it did for about 2 seconds then died... so thats 3 cylinders ... i tried it again this arvo and it didnt start....i checked all the vacuum hoses, nothing is blocked there as far as i can see so yeh :/... I'm so lost :( haha Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 What kind of idle control do you have? Do you just use a tap? What rpm is it idling at when it runs. Have you got access to a timing light? Quote
gt500biatch Posted January 20, 2013 Author Report Posted January 20, 2013 well it was idling around 1.2k and yeh i have that tap. and no i don't have the timing light :( what were you thinking ? Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Wondering what timing it uses while cranking. I think you should check the injectors with a light to make sure they are working. Quote
gt500biatch Posted January 20, 2013 Author Report Posted January 20, 2013 yeh i checked with a multimeter, ill get a LED light 2mrw. but yeh i got them tested etc and they were fine... but yeh its a tricky one Quote
