ke35R0LLA
Hey does anyone know if a 3k or 4k head will fit on any of the newer 1.6 liter engines and how many mods and how hard it would be to get in a ke35
altezzaclub
What would you gain?? It would still be a pushrod non-crossflow singlecam leaning-over piece of crap... You'd be better to try and fit a newer head onto a 4K block, but seeing as they are all belt-driven twincams it is not easy.
ke35R0LLA
Ok thanks, what is the best or easiest to getmotor to swap a 3k for?
ke35R0LLA
and the reason behind it was to get slightly mor hp and not have to get it engineers certified depending on how different it looked...
coln72
In that case, throw a 5k in it
ke35R0LLA
that was a thought but i couldnt find any in nsw with a price tag that was way over the top...
rallydad
If 5k is too hard, I got good results from a 4k with 32/36 downdrafft weber (off a wrecked alfa) mounted on adapter plate to standard manifold and extractors/exhaust. The head was planed to bump compression and I fitted an electronic dizzy out of a hiace. Cost around $600 including exhaust done at mate's rates. It did rev well but at the end of the day it was still a 4k. Any more mods than that you're better off with a 5k as they are a bit more torquey. Now have 4age and wouldn't go back to k series. (sorry k series fans)
ke35R0LLA
What did you do with that motor? and you can get a 4k board and its the same as a 5k?
rallydad
That motor was sold in the last ke30 I had. Not sure what you mean by 4k board.

coln72
Surely a 5k can be found for a reasonable price. Last one I got cost $
