aidanmyles Posted February 1, 2017 Report Posted February 1, 2017 Any ideas on where I can buy new main bearing bolts for a 3K block/crankshaft? Struggling to find anything online. Cheers! Quote
aidanmyles Posted February 2, 2017 Author Report Posted February 2, 2017 Done that, my engineering performance shop that just finished reconditioning the engine and weren't able to help me. My first option is to find a set of bolts (preferred), second is contact ARP if these bolts are the same as any other main bearing bolts, third and lastly get the bolt made. Quote

kickn5k Posted February 2, 2017 Report Posted February 2, 2017 Can you measure the 3k cap height? 4age arp studs work on 4/5k's with a slight mod to one of the studs(the block will need line honing because of the higher torque of the stud). Alternatively I've got a full set of second hand 4k and 5k main bolts. Quote
aidanmyles Posted February 3, 2017 Author Report Posted February 3, 2017 Thanks guys you're both legends, I'll look into both options and talk to my mechanics. Quote
aidanmyles Posted February 3, 2017 Author Report Posted February 3, 2017 Hey Parrot, where did you get the part number from? Quote
parrot Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_G_197408_TOYOTA_COROLLA_KE30R-CD_1105.html Message me with your email address if you want to be able to see the diagrams I've also got a parts book which I cross checked it to. There of course is always the possibility that the part number has been superceded, but if you order it at Toyota or Amayama they will advise you. You could try a bolt place also as you have the specs for the bolt above also, but if available from Toyota, why bother. Just because it comes up with a listing on Amayama doesn't guarantee availability. I ordered about 16 parts last week which showed up when I put in a query, 4 of them turned out to be unavailable when I formally ordered. Be aware if you put in an order to Amayama for the part showing in Australia, and it turns out to be unavailable, they don't check availability for the part also showing in UAE or Japan. You need to put in another order separately for those locations. Quote
CorollaNut68 Posted March 26, 2017 Report Posted March 26, 2017 hey parrot, I need a bolt and washer for the crankshaft pulley on my 3K. new crank...old worn bolt won't go back in. Do you know how many are the same? I can find one for a 4K that is 13471C from JPcarparts .com but I can't find any pictures to tell if it's the same thing. I'm assuming it has to be this big and heavy for some reason...or can I just find a bolt that fits? Quote
