Ke10 Corolla

Hey guys, this is my ke10 race car. Its alot of fun..I'm hoping for around 1.15 at symmons plains raceway when i go in a couple of weeks (i'll let ya know)

 

 

Motor - 1298cc 3K

Block - 3K & 4 mm o/s

Crank - Std, crack tested, balanced 10/10 u/s

Rods - Crack tested, polished, resized, shot peened

Pistons - Motor improvements cast 79mm high comp

Cam - Motor improvements 672-11

Inlet 51/81

Exhaust 85/45

Head - Motor improvements, ported, big valves, heavy duty valve springs, solid spacers for rockers

Flywheel - lightened & balanced

Clutch - 4 puck ceramic plate & H/D pressure plate

Brakes - BMW - (320I) discs, commodore calipars

Suspension - King springs - Monroe Gas shocks- watts linkage rear

Roll Cage - 1/2 alloy cage

that there is a datsun sunny, what was it running.... A motor or an L motor???

looks good anyway

 

here my track car that I'm using at the moment, does 1.17 at symmons and 1.11 at basky

good luck with the old beast anyway, i use go and look at ur car as it was in the rebuild and respray when the old owner had it, its a great car

u will have to bring it down to basky some time, peter did a 1.12 in it i think

yeah i was gonna come down for the LCCT day at basky in september but just found out i will be in qld, might still get a day in this year, we'll see.....

 

your 1600 is pretty quick then?

I'm hoping to get 1.17 outa the corolla this time, last time it was my first crack on the track and we had shit fuel so should be quicker this time round lol

yeah its not to bad seen as it only runs and L16 4 speed with twin webers and a big zorst, when i did the 1.17 it was my first tima at symmons in the datto and it was on old road tyres and only running premium unleaded, its a real fun car

 

there is an Mini multiclub day on the 20th of august at basky and an MG one that I'm goin to in october, i will post up dates and a link to the sup regs closer to the event

alright rolla enthusiasts, i have been working on my ke10 most of the day putting the new gearbox in as i blew 2nd gear in the last one..

 

here are a couple of pics, i have the gearbox in, tailshaft back in all bolted up but not the intake manifold and extractors as I'm waiting on a replacement gasket... had to take these off to get to one of the bellhousing bolts and the starter motor bolts... :)
