On the topic of exhausts... Whats the deal with crackling on back off? What causes this? My mates gemini does it almost all the time yet my car never has, is it just the tune?

HAHAHAHA, i think everyone has a mate with a gem that does that. i have one that used to have a gem although it did sound kind of good it gets so much bad attention

usually that sweet sweet noise only comes from double overhead cam engines.. i don't think you will replicate it from a 3k.. unfortunately

oops.. i stuffed that up.. disregard the last post.. haha

although while i'm here, the crakling exhaust is usually from an air leak into the exhaut pipe.. you get hot unburnt fuel leaving the cylinder with the exhaust gasses, not much, but enough to ignite again when air is sucked in through a hole..

mine only crackles backing off when the engine is warm, wont do it when its cold.4afc by the way.

i have one 12inch muffler on my 2inch system sounds mean an i think it goes better now the 4k can breath now........
