Sorry to say all your flows will be wrong.

 

All that this will achieve is a large pooling of fuel in your original intake manifold.

 

Ideally, air and fuel should go in as straight a line as possible. Making it go around sharp corners is not what you're aftre. Hence side draft being the optimum. On my SU's, you could lift the slider, and just see a valve.

 

Go and get a water squirty bottle (old windex bottle etc), put water in it, add some blue food dye, and try some experiments. First off, cut the ends out of a coke bottle, squirt some liquid into it, see how much comes out the end, and how much remains on the bottle.

 

Now get some sort of pipe, and stick a few bends into it, and repeat. Think of all the sharp bends that you want to inflict upon your poor air/fuel mixture.

Id personally be worried about the lack of air flow... trying to squeeze 2x amount of air fuel down a pissy little stock manifold, could be intresting...

 

I'm going to say Vote No to this idea, for the fact that your going to end up waist money trying to get this to work, when www.trademe.org or www.ebay.com.au have them popping up ocasionally...

i like the idea of twin stockys cause iv got every thing i need here and can do it when i don't have any cash laying about

 

that would get ride of the lack of air flow

if you have access to an aluminium welder, why not cut off the runners off you stock manifold and weld on some sort of plenum to bolt you carbs onto.

 

It is easy to link your carbs together when you get that far. Use a piece of old fuel line to link your throttle shafts together and use the standard cable setup on the back carb.
